Hello. I was really lucky to find your videos and use all the tips inside them (including the song and beverage ones :D). You were as much of a coordinator for me in this period as my real professor was. I just had my oral defense a few days ago and recieved maximum score on my disertation paper. Thank you for these realistic tips. Could you share tips and solutions for preparing a visually appealing presentation? This has always been my challenge. My PowerPoints are to the point and not cluttered but I could do with those catchy visuals to drive the point home

@@liveinnovationorg Not yet, I'm afraid. Too many revisions in my future. My committee saved up all their changes until after the defense. Why do they do that? Feels like I'm doing an overhaul on my draft. 😢

@@wxclim8 Yeah, it can happen... Take your time. Don’t rush to answer them. The important thing is to aknowledge the changes they wish you to make. It will all be alright!

Thank you so much for your wonderful insights as always:) I am still hesitant to say "I don't know" just like that, to the questions I don't know. I personally feel that it may look bad on us, like we don't even care to try to answer. Of course, it depends a lot on the external supervisor's perspective. But I agree with your point of "putting us off" if we say something terribly wrong. Cheers!

Hey! I understand your feeling. But again, I refer to questions you truly do not know the answers to. In such cases, if you try to pretend like you do it will send out a bad signal. No one knows everything. A good researcher is someone that that is aware of what he/she knows. For all other questions you should nail them or be able to provide some clue. All the best! You will be fine!
