Just ran across your channel browsing YT. I'm not an "audiofool", but love listening to live music whenever I can and on decent gear when I can't. Anyway, that said, your channel is a pleasant discovery and have added it to my subs. Really great video production and smart, informed comments across the board. For really best sound when I'm not using high-end cans, such as being in an Adirondack on the balcony, I love my Noble Fokus Prestige. For the price, they better be the best. But I just got the AZ80s for use more on the go where they could get lost, dropped, stolen, etc. (they're cheaper than the Prestige but still not cheap, lol!) and, especially with the single-point only LDAC, they sound quite nice. Think I will really be liking them. Thanks for an enjoyable video!

Wow that soundstage is amazing. It’s been tuned so well, it shows it’s from technics!!

Wonder why Amazon put up a warning as “A frequently returned item.” I like to hear reviews of this after six months of use.

I agree totally regarding needing more EQ bands. When Sennheiser Momentum 3 went from three to five, it made a world of difference for me, and historically, with the AZ-60's, they certainly need more than just five. Eight would be awesome,

Love the silver. I think I want these next.

Easily, hands down the best Bluetooth earphone I've ever had in my life. The sound quality is just so rich and wide and yet doesn't lose the intimacy needed for vocals. The earphone really stands out as 1 of 1 (once in a decade) type of performance and creation.

These are epic straight out of the box.

Good review! I have a question about Az80. I see in another review that the technics have a low max volume. Is this true? Do you feel that they have a lower maximum volume than other earphones ? Amazing sound. I have AZ60 and like this sound more and more. But next az80 now 👊 😊 perfect soft bas with on AZ60. My first Technics. This sound is super soft and fantastic 👏 talk, anc. Very good. But az80 power 👍 I can't little english :/ hear video. My dad say technics best AZ60 2022. So buy this earbuds. Like now very technics. So so nice

I'm very tempted to buy these, I use LDAC a lot and wouldn't buy buds that don't have it.

At the end of the day it’s a terrific product, I love the design particularly and I’m sure they’ll sound quite superb, pls can u help compare against the Bang & Olufsen EX and the Master & Dynamics MW08 especially sound quality-wise, an excellent review all round.

I've got the MTW3 and M&D 07 go, just bought the AZ80 for two weeks, AZ80 is much better than MTW3( which caused my left ear painful) in every respects though the bass is slightly soft , can be enhanced by selecting the super bass EQ option in the app. The sound stage is similar to the M&D 07 go as well as the sound clarity but more musical, slightly smooth and "warmer".

I have owned b&o beoplay ex for 2 weeks and about to take them back. Mic is meh, anc non existent, app is buggy and lacklustre but most of all, connectivity is shocking.. I walk through the city and just get constant cracks, snaps and loss of sound in one ear (changes side depending on day).. I've factory reset them twice, repaired and even opened developer mode on my s23+ to change the codec. Shocking for the most expensive buds on the market. I will however, say the sound is excellent - when you sit still with no interference around.

Cool 😎, simultaneous connection to 3 devices, I hope others will soon integrate this, because frankly my symbolic bar for earbuds, it's $150 max 🙃 I think that like me, many would have preferred a comparison of the ANC of these AZ80 with that of the Airpod Pro 2, and also a comparison of the microphones in phone call. Ps: the design of the AZ80 case and especially the earbuds reminds me strangely those of the Jabra Elite 85t.

If these had enough volume, then they would have been my favourite earbuds. In public you'll crave for more volume out of these.

Nice detailed video. A suggestion - if you wanna compare/give a sense of ANC strength, earbuds must be compared to the class leaders, i.e. Bose, Airpods and Sony.

These aren't class leaders these are marketing leaders the only reason that these names come up is because you see the commercials everyday you don't see commercials from HiFi man from devialet, from Noble, from Denon, you only see what the commercial shows you

From what I understand these are slightly better in ranges from Sony xm5 but less bass for rap/edm/heavy bass music. Is it true that Sony excels over az80 for those?

Technics EHZ-AZ80 The Absolute Sound

After connecting to 2 devices can we hear sound from both at the same time?

It does not work like that, you will be able to interact with the both but the earbuds will play one device at a time. For example, when you receive a call on the phone while you watch a movie in your laptop, you do not have to connect the earbud from the scratch before answering the call. It will automatically switch the connection when you answer the call. The movie will not play in the background while you make your call.

Better in every way. The only way L3 wins, maybe, is in MAX bass.

I have heard that their music quality is pretty good but I think mic is not that great in loud environments, especially comparing them with Huawei freebuds pro 3. But then i am not sure about their sound quality.

Well it doesn’t have the best call quality cause the nothing ear 2 while being significantly cheaper seems to have a better call quality, i paused the video to comment this, let me continue watching 😊

I yust love old Panasonic Technics audio equipment and there equipment like Sony gives mee like ok they are super good companys. And i haw Linkbuds S from Sony and they are as i expected. But price is also 30% more cos the name. Buy im set for feu ares.

Be careful if you lose or have one damaged it is $269 dollars after you send in your receipt and other equipment to replace. This is on a $299 dollar set of buds. Sad better off going back with Sennheiser.

Thanks mate... a most informative and interesting review. However, I like my music loud, but having paid for a number of these expensive earbuds - eg. Sony 1000MX3 & Jabra Elite ( 3 to 400 bucks worth) - I find that, at the highest volume, they're just not loud enough - maxed out on the tablet as well, but they should be able to suitably amplify this. Anyway, I was in want of those cheap shops and found a pair of TWS - Made in China - (as are the dear ones) - but they seem to go just one or two notches further and are great with nice bass. I paid just $30 AUD and couldn't be happier. They may do other stuff but I just want to listen to music.

Hopefully it's quiet music types! My buddy suffers from horrible tinnitus from hearing damage. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. Please be kind to your ears ❤ and rock on

Time will tell how reliable these AZ80 earbuds are. The AZ70 have allot of negative reviews with the left or right earbud failing after a few months. I also owned the AZ60 for a year and got tired of them because the bass wasn't that great and the earbuds would die in the case after a month. Meanwhile my JBL Live Pro Plus have been in storage for almost a year and still show a half charge on the case! They also sound significantly better and have better call quality and noise canceling. Then my Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 wipe the floor with the JBL's and AZ60. The Japanese really need to step up their quality control for the prices they charge! The time when made in Japan meant the best electronics available seem to have faded away unfortunately.

It's our own fault for allowing everything to be made in china... the higher financial fraternity have proved that we'll put up with any sort of crap to save money and now even the expensive stuff is actually made there too, but they still charge the same prices.

The volume and the high return on these earbuds make it a difficult choice. I am gonna check out the Status Between 3ANC. I just need a new pair for the gym. Just picked up Soundcore Aerofit Pro, but that’s for around the house when I need to hear my environment.

The conclusion is get the az60 m2😊.

I’m sure the noise canceling on the AirPods Pro 2 and the Bose QC 2 are better… still watching

I would call these...studio earbuds, great for listening at home or in the middle of wilderness. Since I commute, it is a hard pass for me.

ANC is great. You have the wrong eartips. Happened to me.

i swear, the max volume is too low to be max ..... and that is a major flaw .... if you are a bass lover then this will definately dissapoint you ..... if you are ok with that 2 flaw, you can have them .... the best thing is the call quality ... best call quality in noisy condition .... since I cannot accept the low volume factor, I am returning them

Imo this az80 is a bass monster, the bass is deep, deeper than xm5.the real quality of bass without any distortion or bloating. The max volume i agree

2:15 The silicone tip alone for me means it destroys Sony XM5's. I just cant buy any product with stupid AF foam tips. Thats just insane of Sony. I mean yeah i can replace them. But really? you Spend like $300 on sonys and then need to buy some ear tips. Nah pimpin. These AZ80's destroy Sony on ear-tips alone my man. Sm3 better bass, AZ80 better Soundstage, details and clearity. One have ldac the other have snapdragon
