Your throat and chest tighten like you having a heart attack, your knees turn to jelly, you flush boiling hot from sheer panic, your white knuckled on those handles and the tears are welling up...and suddenly your vision picks them up right beside you on the other side, your brain has not yet got acquainted to their position change...And that feeling of panic even thought the adrenaline has dissipated, it leaves it marks as a core memory and your cells in your body remember that situation all day and forever after, just not with the same intensity as when you first experienced..Although that 1 situation can for some lead to PTSD.. Im sorry you suffered that and i so glad she was safe.. :) ...This man, there is NOTHING, he is empty... you'd be scraping me off the ground.....Be safe and well

The most obvious thing to me has always been that almost everyone else would be losing their freaking minds. Having come home to find your spouse and child in that way. I can't even visualize a piece of that scene being my spouse and child without starting to get very upset. I have been through a thing or two and I know what shock does to you also. Anyone else would be despondent, freaking out and screaming/crying saying “I wish I'd been here!!” “I wish they'd gone with me!!” and any number of other statements people would be making. I have seen all of the footage but what has been redacted. To paraphrase Chase, “What’s missing?”. His sustained grief, shock, guilt (survivors), horror and anguish just to name a few things that are missing.

I'm a pretty crusty old OR nurse - I've pretty much seen it all, and more than once. In the OR, I focus on repairing the damage and I'm damned good at it. But I know that I'd not be so cool calm & collected if I happened across _strangers_ in Maggie's and Paul's condition - I'd first scream in shock, then my heart would race, I'd quickly begin to hyperventilate, and ultimately I'd tremble uncontrollably and I'd cry. When it was all over and authorities were there to 'take over,' my B/P would start to regulate itself and I'd have to sit down before I fall down - ie, before I 'faint.' Bear in mind, I've come across trauma victims who are _alive_ and I responded then as I do in any emergency - clinically. I handle-up on it. I stabilize them to the best of my ability with what I've got available. I do not panic in emergencies. I go into work-mode. *But* I've never come across the scene of murdered people. A boy with his brain blown out of his skull, practically intact. If that were to happen, I _know_ I'd respond as detailed above simply because that state of biological hyperarousal is the normal, autonomic response to such acute stress. (If it were my own loved ones I'd come across in such a state, I'd likely have a heart attack or stroke and I'm not exaggerating.) "Ellick Murda" had NONE of the _normal_ symptoms of _normal_ human beings' _normal_ state of biological hyperarousal (in such a situation) neither on the 911 call nor when authorities arrived. He wasn't shocked or appalled. He wasn't horrified or traumatized. He flat-out seemed to not give a damn that his family was brutally executed and that he'd found their bodies on-scene.

Crazy to think this is literally right after he supposedly found his wife & son brutally murdered. Could you imagine the hysterics that anybody under that circumstance would be in ? and he acts like he’s just explaining why he was driving too fast. I’ve noticed when you start to hear a lot of information that has nothing to do with the circumstance, the explanations that are unnecessary, it’s an attempt to deceive. Under these circumstances, someone would simply be answering the question, it would be to disheveled answers, maybe out of order, and quick. A person would just try to get all the information out in a panicked way. I’m surprised we didn’t here something about the dogs eating his homework.

The things that stood out to me the first time that I heard this interview was that Paul and Maggie "FOOLED" with the dogs, his relationship with Paul was "About as good as it could be," and when asked about Paul's birthday he had recite Buster's birthday before Paul's birthday to recall it. And I believe that needing to recite the birthday was genuine because, according to many of his colleagues he was a master-BSer and not that knowledgeable about the intricacies of the law. So dates are probably just unnecessary details in his life. But, I may be clouded because I also believe that this murder was more about his family's legacy than it was about anything else. And Buster was the preferred son to take over that legacy, Paul was just a liability to that legacy. The podcast "Hidden True Crime" offers this motive and it is very compelling.
