Do you have the same driver adjustments as the cup drivers? I listen to in car communication. They speak of adjusted the brake balance, I assume front to rear. Its supposed to help the car turn under braking. Have you tested that? You mostly talk about pre race adjustments.

You have to target your setup if you know you are in the back you will adjust to make the car easier to get to the front hence the focus on setup changes. Brake balance will only work when you are on the brakes and at Kansas i don't think you get on them very much if at all maybe as the tires burn off you might do a slight tail brake but really Brake balance applies more at a shorter or less banked track where that would be a viable adjustment but if you look at his input traces there is no brake application so brake balance will have no effect.

in race pit stop adjustments can be made as well. You can adjust both rear spring perches and all four tire pressures. As far as brake balance, you can adjust that at anytime during a race, but brake balance is very driving style dependent. The exact same setup with two different drivers can have very different brake balances. That's definitely something you want to test.

Kansas is to blame for all this lol
