I agree with almost all things mentioned here. There is the theory of the wrong shoe that changes the outfit, but while it works for younger generations, for the rest of us it needs to be “styled” in a certain way in order to look elevated and intentional. The Capris and Bermuda shorts are a never again thing for me. It was easy to pull them off when I was in my 20s. At 40+ , I don’t find them cute or stylish. Thank you for telling us how to style what we already have.

Very practical tips as usual. CHI, will you consider to make a video about light shaping shape wears? It is almost summer . I wear a lot of thin dresses/skirts. My stomach has a little pouch and needs a little help to look smoother. I don't care about those choke-you-to-death type of shapewear as that will be hot and uncomfortable. I just need a little help to smooth the tummy area. Thanks a lot.

I have 5 pairs of classic (no big buckle) Birkenstock "Madrid" ---> coral pink, cognac brown, pearl ivory, rosegold and shiny dark brown. They do not look chunky at all, they are comfortable and I literlaly wear only these shoes in summer. I love them. 😀

The all white loose "frumpy" outfit actually looks great on you. It brings out your elegance. Yeah you can't see your curves, but you don't need it in that look

Loud, large floral prints and capris are the mainstay of The Shopping Channel clothing brands. True Confession: my guilty pleasure is turning on TSC and watching brands like Red Coral, Brian Bailey, Kim & Co. etc showcase huge floral prints on shapeless garments that have literally only 3 seams worth of construction, while the host burbles endlessly about how 'flattering' and 'flowing' the garments are - and I scream at the TV 'OH FOR GOD'S SAKE, NO THEY ARE NOT!! IT IS 100% FRUMP-FEST !"

Yes, of course, we should wear clothes and shoes that we like. 🙂 But I think the purpose of this channel is to help people feel better about how they dress and take the mystery out of why certain things do or don't look that flattering on short frames. If someone is super skinny, they can ignore a lot of these principles and still look fine. But if you're short and have even slightly wide hips or thighs, you will find her advice very helpful. The good thing is that there are now MANY brands of comfortable walking shoes besides Birkenstock nowadays, so we have many options.
