Hi! I just wanted to say that in spanish we have separate words for "I am" one being "soy" (like WHAT I embody) and "estoy" (like where I am, how I am) so when we are sad we don´t say "soy triste" like I AM sad, we say "estoy triste" (like I am sad now, but is like a place where I am not something inside me). A lot of other languages do have this feature, so cool that you could find a way to make that difference in english to!

Something I learned from my therapist is to say something like "sadness is happening to me" or "I am experiencing sadness". It makes it so easy to sit with the feeling

I’ve used 3x5’s for 60 years 9 careers later!!! Tasks replace Goals. Passions replace purpose Focus on the PATH rather than the trees. Live in the moment, past is a reflection, future is a mirage. Competition and comparisons are cheaters. Only track your own progress. You are “teething “ on your life span . Growth rings show pride and joy jumps on your journey Keep a growth journal to see how far you’ve come

Ever since your previous video on the index card method, I've been trying it out too. And I must say it's so much more effective than I thought it would be. I'm such a visual person that I thought a vision board would be more influential, but the fact is that it's just distracting before fading into the background. The index card method is so much better - thank you so much for posting your previous vid, and I can't wait to find out what you have to say in this one!

Seriously though, THIS HAS ALSO CHANGED MY LIFE! I recommend it to others because it is daily subconscious repogramming codes. I read them while I am walking, and generally have them out/visible whenever I am doing something related to the card (e.g. "I meditate everyday" is in front of me while I am meditating). When I am "unsure" of what I am doing in a moment of my day, I can mentally remember the card, so if I am on the fence about going for a walk, I remind myself that "I go for walks everyday". It is a wonderful way to reinforce/stay accountable for all the shit you desire for growth, versus giving into the comfort. Thanks Lefie!

This is such an inspiring exercise. Wow. I have been writing in a bullet journal, and just started into the world of positive affirmations and this is right up my alley. In the Irish language, "I am sad" is "Tá brón orm" which translates back as "the sorrow/sadness is on me". I only thought about this now, but it also means sadness can be taken off of you too. "Tá athas orm" is " the happiness is on me" 😀

(Edit: I didn't see that other people had commented the same already. Sorry! 😅) That's really interesting! I was going to comment that in Spanish we say "Estoy triste", which broadly translates as "I'm sad", but its real meaning is "I feel sad". That's usually a difficulty in learning Spanish, the difference between "ser" and "estar", where the verb to be would be used in English.

Well, that's not what's on my birth certificate. I have yet to change to the "I currently feel..." but I'm going to start today. Hate the idea of index cards for this for myself because my dissertation has used so, so many and I'm not done with that yet so I'm spiteful and vindictive towards notecards and will be for at least two more months. In gaelic we say 'the depression is at me'. We're not possessive about any of our experiences and it makes EVERYTHING easier, from hunger, to anger, to fear etc.

14:20 😁😁😁 A veces sucede. Quizá solo no habíamos realizado algunos ejercicios y únicamente por alguna creencia los asumiamos como 'falsos'. Gracias por compartir. Saludos desde México

Thanks for this. I don’t think the card concept is for me but the things you talked about made me think. I’ve been feeling pressured by my KZread channel lately as I’m getting more followers I feel like my content should get better but I am already doing my best ideas so I need to just chill. Thank you.

I use my index cards to vent on 😅 Throw them all into my index card box and try to move on. That’s how I stopped myself from lashing out from anger, depression and frustration. It’s my way of externally bottling it up instead of internally bottling it up. It seems easier to handle when I can physically pick it all up and put it wherever I want.

There are three systems of note taking and planning that actually work: Franklin Covey, multiple legal tablets, and index cards. I have tried all three. The Franklin Covey is not flexible and requires slavish devotion. The legal pads are cumbersome. The index cards can be categorized and physically moved from box to desk to wall.

Have you kept the cards that you have discarded or have you added those things to your ‘accomplished’ card?

I didn't keep them, no - but I'm thinking maybe I should have... I really like the idea of adding them to the "accomplished" card, though! Thanks, Ann!

Hi. I'm not a much of a commenter. But I wanted to say that in Spanish it's much more used to say the words "feeling sad", "feeling angry" cause saying "I'm sad" it's basically saying what you are and not how you're feeling
