These CHEAP JDM CARS Won’t Stay This PRICE: Toyota Celica

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

These cheap JDM cars are unlikely to stay this price for much longer so why not go ahead and consider buying a Toyota Celica whilst you still can?

It's funny, when these cars were newer they were considered a chick car 🤣. Now that I'm in my mid 30's I now think it's a pretty cool car.

It's funny you mention that, because I always heard the same and sorta dismissed them because of that. I think it was just general kid sentiment at the time. ZERO people think that now because I think people woke up to how f-ing cool they look and are to drive now. I'm 37 and just got my GT-S last year and made it very aggressive looking. Instead of being a "girls car" it's like something out of F&F and when valve lift kicks in it's absolutely mind blowing. What an amazing car they won't make again.

Been looking in to these recently. I wanted something to buzz around in while my forester has some work done on it. A friend of mine had one years back. It was really cheap and mega reliable. He was one of those “never maintain a car” types. Anyway. I like them. Hard to find an unmolested one though.

Back in the day i was driving rsx and had a friend with celica. In every concievabe way celica was inferior. Biggest gripe - it was too small to the point of being uncomfortable to be in, let alone to drive around.

  • @rushnerd

And now the RSX Type-S is much much more expensive and piled high with miles. I wanted one, but chose the GT-S Celica. It's just a plain better looking car, but obviously not quite as powerful or nice. You can't beat the price though and you get a Toyota. She is small for sure, but uncomfortable? Nah. Driving her is a dream, but it's not a luxury car.

Ngl I don't ever see them going past 220k unless engine has been rebuilt or swapped. 1zz is notorious for eating oil in the earlier models. Gts are worse not because of the car, but because of the owners. Most of those are gonna be thrashed. But when they are well taken care of, they're essentially like your normal corolla.

@@TheLittleDucky How many miles? Mine was 142K when I bought it which sadly is low for these, but I'm sure it was beat on as the lift bolts were broke and costly to extract out. I think it was two different owners, dealer auction car and all. I GREATLY envy you if you have never had issues with yours as my sunroof outer seal leaks and I had to seal it up. My 94' Camry and 88's Supra never had idle issues like this though.
