We wanted to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. We wanted to show just how normal it is for men to experience male pattern baldness. We were curious to see how our hair was looking some time after first embracing the bald look and opting for the shaved head. We learned a lot over the 25 days and we all hope that this videos helps you in some way if you too are a man unsurprisingly dealing with male pattern baldness and possibly struggling with going bald.

The thing that pisses me off about balding is how it is a natural process and yet we treat it like it is something to be ashamed of - like it's a personal failure. What's worse, is it is overwhelmingly men who are propagating the shame. Men who will start losing their hair themselves and start feeling shame over it too. I know a younger guy at my old work who used to make fun of the guys who were a bit older and losing their hair. Now he's losing his and you can tell he's self conscious about it. Most of us, at some point, are going to face the reality that we are losing our hair. Guys, we need to drop the shaming of other guys because you are just feeding shame around something that will likely one day be focused on you. Women have been raising some consciousness around their own insecurities, it's time men did the same.

Hi guys, I'm late to the "shave it off" game (I'm 60) and lost my hair in my 20's. Obsessed for years and tried everything. Finally buzzed it a couple of years ago and last March went smooth with a blade. (My wife wouldn't look at me for 24 hours... she's accepted it now) Anyway, did the challenge and NOBODY noticed. We think about it way more than anybody else. Can't wait to see my old barber next week and have him take it all the way down. Be strong guys, and thank you Harry for your constant encouragement. Best wishes for the new year!

A toupee (in my 20's,) Minoxidil, special shampoos, comb overs, the whole gambit. I have to say one thing that has always bothered me is jokes about balding (and baldness) are socially accepted. I would never make fun of someone's weight, or looks to their faces. But, people do that all the time. (I recently attended a funeral for a family friend, and a relative greeted me shielding her eyes saying "Oh, the glare.") When discussing this later at home, my wife seemed genuinely surprised when I said they were making fun of a physical flaw. Perhaps that's what we all need to work on. We see it as a flaw, they see it as a joke. I'm working on NOT seeing it as a flaw, but as only a part of who I am. Sorry for the long winded reply.

That's actually how it SHOULD ALWAYS be. There is absolutely nothing wrong with losing your hair and it should NEVER affect your confidence. People give way to much value to social media/ fashion and how it expects them to look. There is absolutely nothing desirable in being and looking like a sheep. Start owning yourself and don't allow others or anything else to own you.

I've shaved my head twice, once to almost clean shaven and the second to a two. Wasn't a huge fan so I grew it out again. I'm receding and wanted to see how it would look, I would suggest anyone that has slight doubts about their hair tries it. If you do it early your hair will, probably regrow to the same length all over, so you'll only have weeks or months of wearing a hat before it's back. Or you may like it and want to keep it clean shaven or very short. But without trying you can't really know how it both looks and feels.

I don't think I'd be that uncomfortable in the first two guys' shoes, I think the horseshoe is way worse than a receding hairline paired with slight thinning. Kudos to all of you guys for doing this, I tried but eventually gave up. Not necessarily because of the look, but because I hated the feel of it.

i always said at your age, when i gonna start balding, i gonna shave it all off, then when i actually started balding i used all the possible tricks to hide it, hair fibers above all. Never ever do it, or if you do, maybe just at the very beginning, and then shave it all off, you gonna feel much better i'm telling you. i used fibers for far too long, but at least i did not consider doing transplants and stuff, that would have been too much. Life is too short and money is never enough to be holding on to your receding hair. Once you shave your head whenever you start balding you gonna feel much better and I owe so much to this channel which gave me the confidence to do it a couple of months ago. Sorry for the long winded comment.

Mate, it's not the end. Invest yourself in this channel and watch some of these guys' stories. So many of them have been in your exact situation, but they've come out of their tribulations stronger and more confident than before they shaved their hair off. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel, and no matter how shitty you feel now, your situation will improve. My tip is to shave your hair off ASAP so that you can start off your new chapter as smoothly as possible. If you still feel depressed about your hairloss, I suggest talking to a therapist so that you can get some advice moving forward.

That’s interesting as I thought electric shavers were better at avoiding that. I would say to start be conscious of how hard you are pressing onto the skin when shaving (shouldn’t be too hard) and I’ve heard guys use baby powder when dry shaving to give a smoother glide. Might be worth a try!

I was thinning on the sides really bad after I cut my man bun off. I had the Jorge Masvidal (ufc fighter) hairline forming. I cut it off in the summer, all of it and I loved it. I grew it out for 6 months again and it was the same thing so I cut it all off again for the 2nd time this year Christmas night. I could’ve finessed it and held onto some beautiful hair besides the small thinning but it was bugging me and I just did what made me happy. Plus this look, looks better and if you can grow a beard it really adds to the aesthetics If you can’t grow a beard, grow whatever you can out to the max, mustache, sideburns, goatee, chin hair, whatever. It’s a 🔥 look. Blessings. - Quan Duke

If I were a young man in my 20's or 30's I would probably feel different, but at 52 I just don't give a "shite" anymore....it's TRUE liberation.

I would say that if you’re obviously balding and everyone can see it but you’re trying to hang on for dear life 100% of the time it’s better to just shave it off. Unless you wanna go the route of transplant, pills, minox, hair fibres etc. (nothing wrong with that btw). All these guys look so much better with that clean look instead of that “hey I’m obviously balding, look at me trying to hang on for dear life” look!

I could never grow my hair out again, I don't think I'm balding, my Dad had a great head of hair even at age 70 when he passed away last June, so maybe it's genetic, but I've been shaving my head bald since I was 18, I have OCD, I hate hair, just about everywhere on my body, Head, Chest, Back, Private, I don't mind a short beard, I actually tried shaving my arms and legs, I regretted it, felt so weird. And yes there is nothing like that fresh feel of a clean shaved head, and IMO, it's now socially acceptable, no longer should white men be looked at as Neo-Nazi's, or White Supremacists, or Skin Heads for shaving their head bald, I love the feeling, maybe one day I'll try the no shave for a month, but for now, I'm a wet shave every night in the shower, Shick Hydro 5 bladed razors, with regular shave cream(On a budget, so I can't afford those fancy blades you have, but those are awesome looking for being able to just do one pass by of the head and it's bald, I need to go over spots a few times, but it's ok), also love your channel, you're helping so many guys who are balding realizing bald is beautiful, Do it, especially if you're insecure about your looks, or like me, I can't stand hair. Anyway, awesome videos, cheers, and happy holidays.

There are a lot of things in our body that cause harm, DHT is just one of those things. Most people not only regain hair, but have more confidence and clearer skin from using a DHT blocker. It's all preference, for me, looking youthful and young for a little while longer is worth any fabricated risk.
