They jump high but that’s not their vertical. They are curling their lower body up to get over the obstacles. To measure a vertical you have to see how high their fingers or head can reach compared to standing.

I'm not saying that these athletes do not have good vertical, but most like box jumping is just a demonstration of how fast and far you can tuck your legs and feet under you. For a better appreciation of verticals, legs should be straight and and or trying to touch something like dunk a basketball or something with your hands, up up high.

That's not vertical...that's just hip flexors working. Just a couple really have bounce box jumpers rarely go above 70cm of actual elevation

Tdub was the best look him up. 5'9 head at the rim. He could do all the dunks Rivera do and most of the dunks from NBA street video games. Rivera might be the best now but not all time

@@rickjason1786 genetically south African athletes are more likely to have more fast twitch muscle fibers than any other region on earth and most south Africans are black. Yes it requires a lot of work and none one is born with the ability to jump 40 inches but there is some science involved.
