    Let me show you how a crossbow bolt can violate the Geneva convention

  • @wernerruf7761

    @wernerruf7761

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@personman8734 The Geneva Convention is not the problem, it has no jurisdiction in fighting scum who want to steal our key less go car or even a single penny. The problem, at least in Europe and especially in Germany, lies in the other legislation that puts the protection of the perpetrator above the protection of the physical integrity and property of the victim, and in the case where they can defend themselves, they still have to put up with nonsensical questions about the proportionality of their reaction. Apart from that, in countries with a reasonable attitude towards perpetrators who trespass on property and launch an assault, why use a crossbow and steel bolts with a hardened surface and tip, as well as a soft core, instead of a "dessert eagle"? The "Dessert Eagle" and its magnum bullets leaves a huge mess in the house, which you have to clean up afterwards and even damages good old German stone walls. Don't forget a trained shooter always works with a double shot when under attack. Magnum bullets are not cheap and recovering the cost of them from an attacker or his heirs may require quite a bit of effort. The steel bolt is different, either push it through or cut it out and reuse it.

Ferric chloride I'd assume is also toxic, although again I don't know about dosages. And, of course, don't forget that it is still a a crossbow bolts, with a glass tip some some localized shredding will occur. Overall, i doubt it would be more effective against humans than a basic broadhead, but it would certainly not be pleasant. Looking at the liquid capsule tips,one could do a two part reactive substance to make some interesting things happen on impact. Also if you want to get a little nore high tech with the primer cap bolt tips you could design it so that rather than blowing back in to the shaft and bust the shaft or blast chamber of the shaft, you could make it in to a mini shapre charge and have the blast go more forward towards the tip. All things aside though, the things created in your workshop with mostly every items is astounding and frighteningly awesome.

    @Cock McBalls Yup, I'm pretty sure me and some of my friends made technically illegal weapons here in my country (Netherlands). For some weird reason slingshots ("katapult" in Dutch) are included in the list of things that aren't allowed (except for a few specific exceptions like armed forces, police during investigations, etc). As far as I'm aware it's not possible as a normal citizen to get a permit for it, even fishing slingshots (to launch bait) technically fall under this. The only exception I'm aware of are things clearly designed as toys well below the potentially harmful limit, which I'm sure some of those creations back then did not meet. I do think it's funny that those aren't defined as a "categorie IV" weapon though for which over 18 year olds get an exception on own terrain (or the permission of the owner). Exceptions in that category already include: air rifles/pistols, crossbows, bows, swords, harpoons. I really wonder what made them put slingshots on the bad list in the first place, but I do think it doesn't have an exception because there's little to no organised (international) sport competition in it that I'm aware of.
