THESE are the BEST BEGINNER Motorcycles! Dualsports! | Here's Why
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Most of the time when you see a "Best Beginner Motorcycle" video it's typically people like me talking about the Yamaha R3 or the Ninja 400. If it get's a little crazy they might suggest a SV 650 or something but I feel like I don't hear a lot of people suggesting dualsport motorcycles as good bikes for beginners to start on. Well, until now. In this video let's explore jumping on a dualsport as your first bike, and Here's Why!

I think everyone needs a dual sport regardless of skill level. They're a world of their own.

Just so everyone knows, when this guy says "dual sports", he actually means a 12 k$ Ducati Desert Sled, you know, the typical beginner's bike for biscotti lovers.

Why not just cut out the middle man and find a supermoto bike? Are they hard to find or expensive?
I've been riding a KLX250 as my daily commute and weekend hooligan for over 4 yrs and you can't wipe the smile off my face every time I swing my leg over the seat.

Bigrst Beast can’t go wrong with an MT-03. It’s basically the naked version of an R3. Rock solid design, reliable & fun. I’ve had an R3 for about a month now and I love it. I feel the MT-03 would be just a little more comfortable... Good luck!!! 😊

I’m 5’7 with 31 inch seam and beginner rider looking to buy dualsports bike all of dualsports bike seat are height what you would recommend this video is awesome.
Skills you learn playing in the dirt, will pay off on a street bike. I started on a dual-sport and I'm glad I did.
I used to own a drz400sm, been throw around the corner and learned wheelies on this machine. I swear dual sport is the best to start with, you don't need to worry about frame damage and easy to pick up even when dropped. It is the best bike to learn the basic/advanced control of the bike.
Once you dual sport, you always sport the dual. Subbed!

Wow I can't believe the timing of this video! I am just about to buy a DR200... been trying to decide between it and a DR650 but I think I like the DR200 more. Great video man I love this. I am a new rider and I learned on a DR200 in my MSF class. I always thought of myself as more of a sport bike rider and maybe I still am but I was surprised how much fun I had on the DR200. I just bought a brand new Ninja 650 ABS and now I think I'll buy a new DR200 this week. Thanks for the content I really enjoyed it.

To be totally honest, If you are looking for a DR200 or a DR650 don't waste your time and money. Get a DRZ 400S. You'll thank me later. Edit...I just saw that this post was from a year ago. Nevermind.

I didnt notice so going to say it now, congrats on 1m my dude! - Your video quality is insane and deserve even more!
I own a 05 CBR 1000RR, a 2017 Triumph Tiger 800 and a 2018 drz 400sm. By far the drz is the most fun bike I own or have ever owned.
The transition was EPIC!
This actually helped me a lot to figure out what bike I want, thanks!!
You taught me so much man. And I love how educational the video felt.
Excellent vid bro!!! Keep up the great work 😉
Really good photography here. Sound is solid and good points about DS bikes
Love this vid! Thanks! Might be my first type of bike. Mostly using it to go to work.
Top quality video! I truly enjoyed the way it was made. I'm a KTM gal myself, but are great choices.
dude, this video was awesome!
I said it once and I'd say it again. Been a subscriber ever since your first videos. And let me tell ya, The quality of the vids look so top notch, I don't even realize that im just watching a youtube video, and not actually in the scene itself 🤣😎
Top shelf infotainment PSA, considering your considerable platform......well played Sir. 👍🏼 🌎
YES! Another classic Chase video.
Just recently picked up a 2020 Kawasaki KLX 230 dual sport. It was a good choice, having been out of riding for 6 years!
Thought I was watching Fort9 for a second. Seriously great video. 👍
I can relate to you so much. Nice video and i love my supermoto!
This video is sick. Solidified my choice to get a nice dual sport. Looking at used drz400, husqvarna te450, or klx in my area.
one of the best beginner bike videos ive seen...
I'm taking my beginner classes next week, so my buddy thought it was a good idea to have me try out his brother's 500cc ktm dual sport. It was fun, but I don't have very good throttle control, I accidently lifted the front end a few inches XD
My MSF course put me on a TW200 and I fell in love, but dealers didn’t have any TWs (and used prices are ridiculous) so I ended up with a KLX230. Definitely recommend for a new rider. Mine is the S model with the factory lowered suspension.
Chase your content this year has been next level keep it up and please make the adventure series the same quality
Enjoyed this🤘
Next to my vfr I have a supermoto converted transalp, the speed factor is 1/2, the range factor is 1/3 but the fun factor is x10!
The trusty bulletproof Yamaha TW-200 was my first bike. Totally agree that dual-sports are a great starter bike

XT225 was mine! Had a blast on it (and my buddy’s TDub)!
I've got back on two wheels on a small 125, but I'm not sure if whant to step up further... The bike already seems like a dual sport, with more street mods, to make it look like a naked, but i really don't enjoy riding on the streets. I always pick the most broken street and even go off-road with those street plastic tires! I've already risen it up a couple of inches because I've found out that the rear shock have a much longer travel, with absurdly preloaded springs, so I've modded everything. All is missing is a front fender, dual sport type and good tires. This video really opened my eyes!
Agreed, I started with 0 experience, picked up a 200cc dual sport and have been beating it into the ground ever since, lost track of how many drops it's had, but I remember it took me 58 miles to drop it the first time, absolutely zero regrets with going with a dual sport as a first bike
The video quality is better then I expected
Man I love your WR so jelly I got a weak spot for Supermotos. I don't know if I could touch but I want one.
Love the thumb nail for the video!
That helped a lot man.
I've had a lot of bikes but the one that I think of mostly was a humble Honda XL125 I had when I was a kid.
Saw alive 2007 album great taste in music man
My first bike was an XT225. I used to load and unload it from my truck A LOT. I never owned ramps haha just asked someone to grab the other end quick.
Been debating on a sport bike or a supermoto. This video honestly pulls me into the supermoto world.

DR650's make great first bikes. It is what i ended up with as a first bike (quite by accident actually). Excellent on road characteristics. Excellent capabilities offroad. Amazing fun to tinker on. I dropped my 650 now 4 times, no damage. A bit on the heavy side for a first bike maybe... but, has longevity in any direction you want to go. A few upgrades and its fast and responsive. A few more and you have an excellent suspension for on /off road. Throw on some trailmax missions and you are just one happy camper. Throw on a wind screen and you have a tourer. Yea, DR650 is the ultimate Unicorn bike.
Good vid nice audio quality
Hardest part is picking which one.

Hey Chase do you think you will do a Supermoto shootout video in the future similar to the 650 Class and Low CC Class segments?
this production crazy

Great motorcycle bro
@chaseontwowheels I've been through few Sport bikes and tried a lot too in demo rides, because it's just my flavor. I own a Zx10RR 2018 right now and I'm considering switching it for a Supermoto next. Probably a KTM 690 or a Husqvarna 701 due to my flavor of speeding lol. I think not only beginners, but every riders out there should consider at least giving it a try. Motorcycle isn't only about speeding and being cool... It's about having fun ! CHEAH ! 👌
just booked a dual sport motorcycle.. 🤩
How about a quick WBRG video series on converting a dual sport into a Supermoto? Inquiring minds want to know!
Deciding to get a dual sport was the easy part now it’s time to figure out which one to get I’m deciding between a WR250 CRF 450 and a klx 250 any suggestions??
Alright guys, I need some advice from both experience and short motorcycle riders. I've been watching Chase for 6 months even though I was subscribed to him for 3 years. Anyways, I've become interested in riding, but I fear that there aren't any good bikes for me to use. I'm 5'4" ( very short, I know) and most likely done growing, so I want to know what bikes would be great for short, new riders?
I need to save up a little more money to get a dual sport to see if I like the road or terrain or both.

Get a moped... you would be surprised how much fun you can have going 25-30 mph on a moped! A real moped can do light off road too. I drove my dad's 1977 Puch Maxi moped when I was 15 and man it was a blast
I’m just about ready to try my cb500x off road (moser than up and over curbs!). Do you have any places around your area you’d recommend for a new rider?
Dude!! Love your helmet what is it?
im convinced, im gonna buy a dual sport bike
omg chase doing a wheelie?? jk we know he is a hooligan at heart

I got excited caz i thought this was a moto vlog of chase back on his wr Btw drz400 is the best all around bike lol

If i want to choose a dualsport as my first bike and i want to take it traveling and going to off road places, but that means riding about an hour in highways is that possible? do i have to mod it? (better tires?)
3:18 I WISH I could pick up my CRF250L like that. I’ve had several friends try and no one can even get it neatly on a stand. 320lbs is heavy af to do dirt bike things. Doable for sure, but heavy
# 2019 Suzuki dr650. Trying to Keep the best bang for buck 650 dualsport alive. I recommend every man, woman, and child own a light, non expensive dualsport motorbike with long maintenance intervals.
Why do people keep skipping over the Yamaha xt250. Lighter, lower, super reliable, more fuel capacity, trials like turning radius and tough as nails. We love them.

Originaly was saving for a Duke 390 naked as a beginner bike, now saving for a dualsport.
In the vein of 250cc dual sports, would be interested in your opinion (and Brian’s) of the cheaper Chinese 250’s such as the CSC TT250 or those available on Amazon.

Do you need to register it off road and on road in NJ?
I’ve wanted an off-road bike for a while now but I don’t know which one is the best and I need help? Also I don’t want one to expensive
so if i put bigger wheels and knobby tire on a supermoto it becomes a dualsport?
I was thinking of getting the Suzy 400 SM (maybe a Kawa KLR 650) for communiting and occassional 100-120 miles trip ... But I afraid of their older tech (keep in mind it will be stored for 5 months of winter)

How about having a passenger on a Dual-Sport? Thanks!
Are you bark busters on upside down or reversed on your Yamaha? They look weird
i love my TW200 cause its an old farm bike whos design has stayed the same since the 80s.
Would you consider a DRZ400 to a beginner?
Why not just start with ADV then? Kawasaki Versys-x 300, BMW G 310 GS, KTM 390 Adventure?
Oh my, the talk I say to any beginner... In the beginning anything you really need to learn, you can learn in the soft dirt on a cheap Chinese pitbike with knobbies. Then I think my wife will step up to our Zero.
Every once in a while you say to yourself. Should I keep waiting or should I hop this curve.
What model is the white/red Yamaha?
I’m a beginner street rider, with a little dirt experience. I ride with my dad on a Sporty 1200 and I love it, but I really want a DR650 for my first bike. I’m just a little intimidated by the height. I’m sitting at 5’10

I agree. It wasn't my first but it will always be in the stables.
Looks like Master Chief riding down the road.
I take it that a 250cc is the best general purpose dual sport? My cousin used to have a Suzuki DR650. I was about 16, and I remember thinking it was awfully big for a "dirt bike" (that's what it looked like to me) Anyway, here I am and I wanna start riding. I don't wanna give my age, but I'm neither old nor young at this point. This will be the 1st time I've ridden a motorcycle since I was a teenager. I am 6'0 and about 225. What displacement would y'all recommend for me? Not worried about super speed. 70ish is fine. Actually don't want too powerful a bike. I might take a 5-6 hour trip once I gain some experience, but that'll be as far as I'll ever go. I am blessed that I live within 2-3 hours of a lot of good riding.
