My fav is the Big TRD on a Power Finesse 1/6 head. I do cut them down a little to maybe 3 1/4" but, I use them even in the Winter. These cast further and better on windy days and, in my arsenal have replaced the finesse TRD.

Scented Jerkshadz are another favorite for me. I rig them on an Owner screwlock hook about 16” behind a swivel, and add a nail weight to the Jerkshadz belly behind the hook. The screwlock and the nail weight are a PIA to rig with the Elaztech- but more than worth it in being able to fish it all day or multiple days. The nail weight gives it a nice horizontal fall vs fast nose down, and adds weight for casting. Use a heavier nail weight for deeper use.

Zman is my go to. For my my top 5: goat, hella crawz, finesse wormz, minnowz, and the hula stickz. I agree with you, the hook wears out or I lose the bait in a snag before the zman baits wear out. This year I’m trying the gremlin and big TRD. I wish zman offered purple death and purple demon in all baits. They’re my favorite colors.

I really wish that you was going to be fishing the Bassmaster Open at Lake Eufaula on June 20th because I'm fishing it as a co-angler, but I understand that you have to be there for your child!!! You'll be in my prayers- GOD BLESS you and your family!!!

The only things I definitely force myself to use elaztech is for my shakey heads and my ned rigs I think it’s important for them to stand up the other time I tried it was for buzz toads and I tried the pop shad was hi he was nice but alot of the time if you kill a buzz toad they will eat it when it starts to sink so I still use regular plastisol for those

I would add chatterspike it’s one of my new chatter bait trailer not only how it works when you working the chatterbait but when you let it go to the bottom the tail sits straight up I don’t know how many fish I caught fishing it like that and you only need one trailer

I definitely use All of these ZMAN baits and catch so many fish with them, and I only have one question about ZMAN, Why don’t they use tungsten on any of their hook styles🤷🏻‍♂️😜😎 I have gone to tungsten for quite some time now and I have always wondered why ZMAN hasn’t added it to their lineup.🍀🎣🍀💯 happy summer Miles and I keep you guys and Rylee in my prayers 🙏🥰🙏💯

My favorite E-Tec bait was the Iguana. It was an 8" lizard that would float with a 5/0 worm hook. Tremendous spawn bait, but for some unknown reason the lizard has fallen out of fashion with the "pros" and it is no longer made.

Black& blue mag fatty is on my rod right now. My favorite ned of late is the TRD tubz on a swinging ned head. Catch's everything all the time... Poopin frogz stay on one of my rods all summer also

Delighted in your choices. What do you think about the TRD craws?

Surprised that zinkers didn’t make the list. I never go fishing with a pack of em. Best senko style worm on the market. Good list anyway. Thanks. I’m going to try the palmetto bugz instead of my usual D-Bomb this weekend.

They seemed to quit zinking for me after a bit of use.

The turbo fattyz is fav of mine too. What about the new wedge tail soft baits? Have you played with them any? I've been wanting to try them, but I haven't seen any in store & I don't need enough stuff to make a TW order. I definitely will add them to try

Don’t you worry about your baits distorting in the heat?

What hook do you use for the swimming worm? Always weightless?

Actually, I really never fish it weightless. I usually fish it with a pegged bullet sinker (3/16 is a good one all around) and I use a 4/0 HAYABUSA WRM959. Here’s a link: amzn.to/3x89GlP
