Hi Tyler, love the uncuts! In Florida I’ve mostly been a bank fishing pond hopper, but recently upgraded to a nice fishing kayak with pedal drive and standing capability. I will say the transition from pond bank fishing to lake kayak fishing has not been as easy as I anticipated. Have been very slow to find fish and usually just end up with a dink or 2 at best in a few hours. Don’t really have this problem in ponds! Recently put in a nice Garmin fish finder (with option to upgrade to a livescope transducer one day). I’m trying to improve on finding fish in a lake. Would love if you covered what a dude might do when wanting to navigate finding fish in a kayak on a lake. Thank you!

Late afternoon in spring seems to be the magical time

I’ve never caught anything with a top water frog until the last 2 days. Top water is on fire in Oklahoma now. Probably the most exhilarating bites I’ve ever experienced bass fishing. Caught more 3-5lbers than I ever have, just in the last 2 days. Hopefully gonna catch my new PB soon. Love the content Tyler! Watched 80+ hours over the last month.

The time of day/conditions in that moment might matter more than anything in places like this…. There have been times I caught 2 fish in 3 hours then in the 4th hour all the sudden I’m hookin up left and right. And I didn’t switch up the lure one time.

The froggin season has started here tyler in lower Michigan 😊 can’t wait for some top water bass.

Dude that’s prime for a Teckle Maxqueaker buzzbait, the ultimate squeaky buzzbait lure for small lakes, shallow cover, ponds, and going over cover. Or a kicknocker, if you’re going to start with a top water always throw a small walking bait aggressively for a little while in some high % areas to see if there even is a top water bite that day. I’d like to hear you talk more about JDM products I know you use cuz I’m a master of the freeze frame .. you say you don’t always talk about your sponsors but you do, and Mach baits aren’t that great they’re pretty average pond bait. Cmon Tyler. Let’s be reel 😉

When you get experience at yaking. You know to bring ur net, paddle, etc.. not because you going to use it. It's on man I really need my net to get what fell out. The main thing I use my net for is keeping the fish in the water. On a boat u have a live well. Get things in order and pull it out of the live well. The net is the live well.

The mud on the bottom is called detritous

It’s a mixture of parts that the dugout bait and tackle sells. Called the “fisher” pack I think. Give them a call

Question about the tournament. I see the identifier code CCTRF in the logged catches. What is the SKBB? I’ve registered and want to do things correctly but I’ve never been in an online tournament before.

That one was for the Strike King big bass tournament. You can have multiple identifiers in one photo, and submit one fish to multiple tournaments at once.

Every time I use mono or fluro on my baitcasters it back lashes no matter what settings I’m on idk how you do it man

Either dark or light bottom, that’s all that matters. And yes it can matter a whole lot some days more than others
