how has this guy only got 20k subs? Been learning guitar recently and stumbled upon your videos and now I've built my entire learning process on your recommended curriculum, I cannot stress enough how helpful you've been in such a short period of time what an incredible teacher.

Wow!! I was paying $150.00 a month for private lessons, and did NOT get nearly the instruction as I have in this video series. Thank you, Kevin! Your step by step instructions from the beginning are amazing. You had allowed me to break some bad habits, and play PROPERLY!!! You are AWESOME!

I am a 74 year old beginner. You are the best guitar teacher I have seen. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
The fact that the way you joke makes this more intertaing as well as more easy to focuss. Also you explain this so much better then other channels.

Kevin is my Guitar mom!
Just starting my guitar journey and I appreciate you suffering for the good of us beginners. Thank you and I hope you keep making these, I'll be here to watch
This stuff is gold. I've been struggling, trying to figure out Music theory and how all these chords come together to make songs, why you play chords the way you do. Your explanation of how a chord is actually made up just unlocked it for me. Thank you! Love this channel. Keep up the good work Kevin
please keep going,, you are the most important person that this niche needs.

Dang this comment just made my day. I appreciate it, no plans to stop
Hello there! I wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation for your course. I recently rediscovered my electric guitar, a cherished gift from my 16th birthday, after it had been tucked away in the attic. In the past, I attempted to learn on my own twice, but regrettably, I couldn't achieve the desired progress. The process felt overwhelming, and I struggled with knowing what to focus on during practice sessions. However, your course has been a game-changer for me! Your explanations are simply fantastic, and the roadmap you've provided is incredibly helpful. I can now approach learning with clarity and purpose. I'm genuinely enjoying the journey and feel motivated to stick to it this time, now that I'm 31 years old. Thank you so much for creating such an enriching and inspiring learning resource! I'm optimistic that this time, I will succeed with your guidance.

Thats great to hear! I am in the exact same boat, just bought myself an electric guitar and will be picking it up tomorrow, 30 years of age and cannot wait, these videos are exactly what i need. When I say in the same boat, i tried to elarn acoustic when i was younger and failed haha
I'd just like to say how helpful even this tiny amount of "theory" towards the end helps, and I can't believe that so many other sources don't mention anything about it at all. Even just the very fundamental information that each basic open chord is made essentially by getting each string to produce one of either the 1st 3rd or 5th note in that scale flipped a lightswitch that made so many things make intuitive sense that I had just been trying to memorize up to this point.
Watching these and really looking forward when you get to some concepts I'm not familiar with. You break things down so well it feels easily understandable.
I find myself watching these videos even though I already know the basics, but I want to be prepared when you upload videos beyond my understanding, keep it up man!
Loving your videos. I'm resuming my guitar lessons after 3 years and these videos are gonna help a lot.
Hell yeah, your list of what order to learn what in has helped a lot, cant wait till you catch up to where I'm at (prolly between level 2 and 3), still worth watching even if I'm familiar with the subject matter.
Just what I was looking for! Thanks for such a useful and easy to follow explanation. You really deserve all the success in your channel
Why... is my GUITAR BROKEN
Thanks Guitar Mom, I wish to see you grow and I’ll be with you till the end and beyond!
Im an intermediate guitarist in highschool right now (I started my playing my freshman year now im going into senior year) and even though these lessons are a little easy for me. I wish I watched these when I first started. These are really motivating, thanks!
I can't get over how fast this channel is growing :)

Holy man ,,,, your growth shows the quality of your content man keep up the good work
Really good content. I've written your 0-6 guide down in a notebook. I would like to see the focus on the basic theory continue in future videos; it makes guitar (and music generally) much less opaic for beginners like myself.
Never wanted to learn an easier version of any chord espcially the F chord or any barre chord. If u keep at it your hand, fingers will make the chords. you have to strengthen ,stretch them out I remember playing an F chord right the first time and then a C chord and how beautiful those 2 chords sound together. Love your videos ❤
How can I NOT subscribe to my Guitar Mom?! 😂😂😂
im 15 and ive always been into j rock and anime songs that are rocky so i finally got myself a guitar. Thank you for helping the beginners out (ive seen many people starting your course!)
Hey man. Love the videos. Looks like you are the guy that i am looking for so long. I will continue my jurney with the guitar, following your advices and videos. Keep up the good work
You and your videos ROCK!!! 😃 so much clarity, filmed beautifully, and so funny, too. Thank you! 😃🙏
❤❤❤ Thank you, for all the work you’ve put into this. Helps me a lot
how rad are you for attempting to explain to the full-on spatial learner!!! Backed up the way I learned, so props to you. Gratitude.
Thank you so SO much for this siries, for real you're the main reason why I keep pushing to try to learn it. PLEASE keep going, you are truly an inspiration for thousands.
I love your teaching style! Thank you so much for the videos!
I’ve been a band kid since middle school all the way up to spending about a year and a half of college studying music education. I have a solid understanding of most of the major (pun intended) concepts of music theory and can play a bunch of different wind instruments and even played in my high school’s percussion ensemble for a year, but for whatever reason I’ve had this strange perception about guitar. I used to think of chords on a guitar as being somehow different than on an instrument like a piano or in ensemble settings, something about the image of the different hand shapes moving around the neck made it seem more like a naruto character powering up than music theory. it wasn’t until when I got my first guitar (a secondhand Gibson maestro I got off Facebook marketplace) and I watched this video that I had the dullest lightbulb moment of “oh yeah music theory applies to guitar.” It sounds stupid but you just reminding me that music theory exists just made it 100x easier to understand how the hand shapes and distance between frets relate to the intervals. TL;DR Forgot guitars made music and therefore fell within the purview of music theory. Give this guy a sub if you haven’t.
Adding theory to these videos is really helpful and it truly adds another layer to learning that i appreciate :D i got math brain so knowing why things sound the way that they do on a mechanical level is nice.
Great videos. Info delivery is *chef-kiss* perfect
Hands down best content I’ve seen in this niche. Freakin kudos, man. You’re and excellent communicator and teacher. Plus your hooks, your use of story, humor, and your video production is *chefs kiss* Really great work man. Keep going. If you stay consistent this channel gets 1mil+ subs easy

genuinely thank you so much for this video, i have always though i was just too dumb to understand how chords worked but you made it make sense so easily for me omg. thank you thank you
Yea, beginner & old dude here. This is a great instructional video. One of the very best I've seen.
love this channel so much
Thank you I was really waiting
COMPLIMENTS to the chef! (So to speak). I’ve been trying to learn through you tube for years. I find your teaching style to be the best. Amongst a sea of instructors. Well explained, easy to understand, and without all the fluff.
Like your straight forward style of teaching and your hitting all the buttons not assuming that the student already knows certain things been playing guitar for 60 years but really liked your very thorough lesson tonality 1 3 5 ways of counting the triad great teaching style thanx
Love your channel, thank you for uploading
I’m binging you! So calming too!! Really love your style 😎🎶
Dude I can't get enough of your lessons!!! If my beginner fingers fall off it's on you!!
Thank you so much. I'm learning guitar, just started, and these videos are helping me so much. Other videos were alot tricker and faster. I love how slow urs are. Thank you!!!!!

Another good ass video. I started my guitar journey playing songs that were made up of bar chords, but I really wish I would’ve learned these essentials earlier so I could understand where those shapes even come from. This’ll be really good for other newer players!
New to your channel and I'm liking it. Thanks for all the hard work.
Channel is growing fast and you deserve it brother! ❤
Great channel. Never had a better tutorial. Hope to see more 👍
You explain so well!!!
If you got large hands its possible to use your thumb to mute the low E string and the A string. It helps if you orientate your hand a bit more perpendicular to the neck and use your pinky to fret the B string instead of your ring finger.
Great instruction....all the best
You are an excellent teacher! Subscribed immediately. Thank you so much for this.
Fantastic, really enjoyed the way you communicate. Can’t wait to watch more videos. Thx!
Excellent teacher! I think I've found gold here.

What a lovely man you are.
You're a natural teacher, brother.
just got a guitar from my dad and decided to learm through youtube and found your playlist and I'm satisfied so far. my goal is to be able to do a beginner song in 2 weeks xD will work whole days for that I didn't understand anything about notes and chords tho ^^" I have some piano background with solfege so I have hard time understanding the notes on the guitar like C, D I only know the name of the string (thanks to Eddie) looking forward to pass the level 1
Aye new video, I appreciate it!
Hi Kevin I've been telling my son to learn how to read music... This is a great start... THANK YOU SO MUCH! Not yelling ☮
I don't get it. I've watched so many explainer videos for playing guitar and none habe been so full of information with this insanely straight forward explanation. How are you doing this?

I just started learning the guitar and you channel is amazing bro! Can't wait for the next to drop its really helpful. My main thing I'm trying to learn to do is how the hell do I know what chord comes next if I'm playing a song by air lol Like how are your ears that good to just know "ok after this C, G is what comes next in this song"
Thanks Mate You'r A Great Teacher..

I’m a long time teacher and pro. Best complement I can pay you is I’m stealing some of your advice young fellow. Excellent!
such an incredible video
Hey Kevin, One thing you might do or a video you might touch on when giving an example on scales. Instead of using the correct fingerings, use your index finger to point out exactly which finger is fretting the guitar. I know as a beginner I would get lost trying to figure out which finger was fretting and where exactly the 1, 3, 5 is in the scale and to slow down your counting. Every teacher has done this so, I think it would be helpful! I love your channel, Big Fan!

That’s a pretty good suggestion. Thanks!
Started learning @ 7-8 weeks ago so just about getting the hang of the majors. I found a nifty way to help develop the strumming mind/skillset is to focus on one of your favourite songs, imagine a different favourite artiste/band/singer having a go & try to emulate that. At present, I'm going with my version of my version of Johnny Cashs version of Pink Floyds ‘Money’ - “….. Don't give me no do-goody-good Bullsh^t, Son...." strummy strummy. Try it - it's spectacularly great fun! NEXT - Deano does 'Rock Lobster'..... Happy strummin’.
Wow it’s so enjoyable to watching so clear understanding lessons,. Man … sorry ( mum ) thanks for your work! Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
thanks this is really comprehensive
Great video!
Good lesson!
Love the videos. One thing I found distracting was the balcony yellow lights right behind the neck of the guitar, the bokeh is nice but I still drifted towards those lights
This guys amazing
youre a great teacher dude

Okay don’t hold me to it, but I generally try for about once a week. But I will not sacrifice quality for a regular release. If it’s not ready, I don’t upload until it’s perfect. But yeah I try for once a week

I've been playing guitar for 15+ years, just watching for fun, but you are exactly right. I learned these 7 chords up front and they saved me years of headache. Some other songs (out of a million) that can be played using them: Sublime's "What I Got" Tenacious D's "Tribute" Eagle Eye Cherry's "Save Tonight"
You are the perfect tuitor🔒
BLESS THIS CHANNEL OH MY GOD
Brilliant 👌🏼
