I swear people don't understand that there aren't shortcuts to most things. The best way to learn how to change chords, as shown in the video, is to pick a couple of chords and change between them as fast as you can cleanly, then pick up the speed.

This is what people should actually be teaching you. Every kind of roadmap I've seen so far typically goes from "okay here's how you hold your guitar" to "here's tapping and shredding" within a span of 3 minutes

Kev, I’m loving your methodology here. I’m 64. I messed with the guitar in my teen years. Then life happened, marriage, kids, job. And I set it down. 3 years ago I picked up a ukulele. I have 3 now. I enjoy it. Now I have a guitar. One week as of this post. And I’m a fan of your teaching. I practice every day. The internet is great for this stuff. I’m starting with 20th Century Man by The Kinks. Because it has everything I need. Hammer on’s, slurs and interesting chord changes. Love the albums on your wall. My room is just like it. But more albums.😂 ima keep watching your site!

Woah. I swear I found you a few days ago and you had 200 subs. Congrats on the growth. It’s well deserved and I’m sure there’s more to come. Also I like what you said about avoiding “Noise” when it comes to searching for helpful exercises and videos as a beginner with the guitar. It’s easy to get bogged down with how much advice is available on platforms like KZread, but diligently practicing the fundamentals will get you far.

Dude, as a professional teacher, I have to congratulate you on your videos and journey of developing your learning road map. I've spent s day or so looking around and curricula is all over the place... Like you said too much info available. As a teacher, I always thougjt of my students and their needs and went about trying to meet their varying needs. This mindset and approach will surely help guitar newbies and probably get your content known/spread. If I may, don't forget to always explain what something is, what it's for, and how to use/apply it. Got yourself a sub. Thank you and best of luck w/ the channel.

Im 17yrs old and I started playing guitar December 25th of 2022, inspired by my favorite rock bands, metal guitarist, and r&b players. I knew nothing about the guitar, and it felt so foreign to me as i picked up daily, my confidence wavered and i wanted to give up, but with a burning passion for the path to be musically sound i practiced what I could everyday. And to have been only playing for 7 months I've been given alot of recognition. Recently I've felt I'm hitting a plateau, but you have inspired me beyond the edge of the cliff we call danger, and to see that it is a dive of new hope. Thank you truly and you deserve even more love 🤘

I have copied and pasted the links to your KZread videos on my ebook guide so my future readers will be routed to your tutorials. I find your channel very beginner-friendly. All your lessons are well-explained and organized. P.S. I am an average guitarist. Started learning when I was 14 years old, currently I am 27. I admit I still have so much to learn. I'm also a writer-wannabe that is why I'm writing this ebook guide on guitar for beginners.

I got my first guitar in 1998, had about 3 lessons with a guy who was in a band that was my sisters friends brother, and then I used to dabble a bit at home - my fingers were useless and didn't stretch at all and I became very frustrated and pretty much gave up (no practising was done either to get better). Since then I have kept my Yamaha Pacifica all these years and dabbled a bit on it now and then and I eventually got to the stage where I can chord change and do a bit of barre chords etc then just stopped again really. And then this year I have the desire to start up again so was doing some of the justinguitar stuff, and then you randomly popped up on my youtube feed - sounding pretty useful so far so look forward to more of your advice/lessons, and big congratulations on the channel growth.

Hey man. I subscribed to your channel before you hit 1k subs. Glad to see it doubled within a few days. Cool content 👌🏼.

dude how tf does your channel have just 26k subs? you video producing is waaaay too professional, and finally someone on youtube is really helping out with guided path to learn the guitar. i actually learned in just 4 videos of yours what i wasn't able to learn through a ton of useless online youtube lessons that just try to promote their paid "premium" lessons. Thank you dude thank you, i love your channel, and keep it up

My teacher always tells me to practice using a metronome. I haven’t yet, but I plan to start. I understand why it’s good to use one.

Thanks a lot man, I´ve been playing bass for a while and now I feel more comfortable doing hard songs with fingers and slap, so I feel this is a really nice challenge (at least to get them at half your speed), I love the harmonic things you can do on a guitar but I really struggle with that, I´ll try, suscribed.

The days I started to play the guitar, it was a nightmare. Could barely even keep my finger on the guitar. Daily practice and on the week 4 i am really seeing much progress. Can beat my yesterday score of playing chords within a time everyday. Just got to 43 from 33. Thank you soo much❤
