Cool, i'm thinking of making a poly windscreen too, which type of oven you using mate?

A home made unit (1.8m x 1.8m x 0.9m) and a digital controller so the temperature can be ramped up at whatever degrees/minute are required for the resin being used in the prepreg carbon. The controller also allows for any temp to be maintained for any length of time. The heat is provided by an old domestic oven element and fan.

Only problem using poly for windscreen is that it scratches extremely easy. first time you use wipers in the rain it will scratch so badly you cannot see clearly through it.

I don't plan to drive in the rain :-) Poly isn't that bad. New wipers and a clean screen for the MOT will not be an issue.

I had no idea that polycarbonate needs drying, that's good to know.

Yes, it is very important to dry out both the poly and mould before the poly reaches its sagging temperature otherwise there is a risk of bubbles forming.
