Thermion 2 XP50 Thermal Rifle Scope Review || Impressions || Comparison || Thermion XQ50
The new Thermion 2 XP50 thermal rifle scope sure is a cool new tool / toy. In this comparison video I'll pass on my impressions and opinion as a user of the Thermion XQ50 for the last year. Upgrading to the Thermion 2 XP50 is more to improve the quality of my thermal hunting and shooting footage in the KZread video's. I might as well pass on my review as a general user. I know there's many biased opinions in the expensive thermal game so hopefully I'm not too biased in my thoughts.

Many thanks for another helpful review (I bought the Helion 2 XP50 thermal monocular on the basis of your review and I’ve not been disappointed), when you are using this sight at night what do you use for ranging? The bracketing technique on the sight (the same I think as is on the monocular) would be just too slow.
@EDGEoftheOUTBACK

I can get away with a regular rangefinder generally off a terrain feature. But shooting on a centerfire it's not too bad anyway as most shots are under 150m for my night use.
@labor475
2 жыл бұрын
Many thanks Nathan, my regular range finder (Hawke LRF 400) can’t really see anything in the dark and I expect you are probably just judging the distance from experience and the size of the target. I see Pulsar offer the Axion XQ38 thermal LRF which would allow for quick target scanning and ranging but it is pretty much the same cost as the sight. The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50 is starting to appear on websites now but the cost is half as much again. An alternative is the PARD T-Pro 12µm 42mm Thermal scope with built in rangefinder for about the same price as the non-LRF Pulsar sight but still expensive. No easy solutions!
