Thermaltake CTE T500 Air and SWAFAN GT Build
Ғылым және технология
KitGuru has a treat for you today with a Thermaltake PC build that has the bare minimum of RGB lighting. To add to the fun, we have taken the Thermaltake CTE T500 Air case and added a stack of Thermaltake SWAFAN GT12 and GT14 fans which have swappable fan blade rotors. High Pressure, Air Flow and Reverse Air Flow - these fans do it all!
Leo also decided to go a bit crazy with a smoke machine, chaos ensued. Read more here: bit.ly/3RQijcg

Love how Leo has a windy handle for the up and down on his desk instead of a motorised one. Very traditional, very Leo;

I love that too. I need to get myself a desk like this :D
I love that case, makes the build look so tidy
that case is MAAAAHOOOOOSIIIIIVVVVEEEE!
Normall Id say this would look better in white but with the size of this thing black is probably the best colour to help it hide some of that size. Going to be really easy to vent a case that size just need somewhere to put it.
great design, both CPU and GPU get fresh air from the outside
Thanks for review. Interesting chase.
After almost 4 years of my love affair with the Phanteks P600S, I may have finally found something to replace it with. I've been waiting for the vertical configuration to gain some traction for a while ever since the 4090 came along with so much heft. Having it in a horizonal build feels unnerving, even with the fancy anti-sag bars and brackets. Why fight gravity when it can hang securely?. Great review as always Leo. 👍
Seems like they made some aspects similar to Phanteks P600S. I have (2) Phanteks P600S. I also have (2) Thermaltake F31 cases. Wish I had purchased better air flow cases when I used the TT F31 cases. I ended up using the top grate filter as the front and disassembled the front, removing the doors. Glued some magnets on which now holds the top mesh on the front. TT mesh is very restrictive to air flow though. If I could go back in time I would have ordered better air flow cases. They originally were for an EVGA 1060FTW and 4790K and the other was the intel i5 version with a EVGA 1060FTW. Air flow was not as big a deal. When I built a 9900k with a 1080ti FTW3 as an upgrade in the same case, air flow mattered alot more. Thanks for another thorough review Leo.
Nice build and good looking chassis. Thermaltake have had a good year imo after some rocky ones in recent years.
Still rocking my (White) Thermaltake TT Soprano from 2005, it has alot of mods Thermaltake didn't do, SSD's and NvMe M2 has opened a whole world up to someone modding something made for Harddrives and ribbon tape IDE drives.
looks good! a mATX one with 90 degree mobo would be great

There are some cases like that the Thermaltake Tower 200 for example. Its marketed as being ITX but its an mATX case.
I really like that case it’s loads of space for airflow 😮
Hey Leo, you and James must have more cases than Scan atm
The winding table decline was priceless. As was the smoke.
Interesting the front frame makes it look even larger than it really is! Would like to see a custom loop build with this thing with all that space you can do something really creative.

It really would suit a James style custom loop.
Cool build. Would have liked to see more done with the cooling on such a large case.
That intro was classic Leo. love it ! case looks good, if rather large

Roll em' up! The CTE 500 actually looks like a solid case that's priced quite well. Thermaltake designs are usually very ugly to me, even the ones that are occasionally very functional like the cte750. It looks like they've kept the plastic to a minimum with just the front bezel being plastic. Good job thermaltake! Whoever has been their product designers for their fans and cases very recently has been doing a great job. Here's hoping their straight copying and rediculius litigation days are over.
excellent video - thats a monster case, it suits black and not white, its mean
Black is good for this case. Wanted to see it in white but it suits black
The graphics card installation is interesting dont often see that and its taking the shearing force off of the socket but having it hang downwards. And may be a better solution than using a riser cable for a vertical install.

That GPU is massive. Kind of like the slim water cooled 4090 that Acer have over in the other video. Its a better cooler implementation than a massive heatsink and loads of fans.
pretty nice.. in general not a big fan of mb ports on top... about ryzen (of course) always hitting 95 c is fine, the point here would be comunicating if clock speeds increased or not, thats what pbo2 does eventually.
I like that case.
imagine if Leo was smoke'n the tweeds, lol...
When it comes to testing CPUs that have a high thermal limit, does it make sense to start including clock speeds along with the temperature? I would assume that would better describe how efficient the cooling is.
Wonder if its time they looked into using 48v for the high power voltage connector on the graphics card as is used sometimes in the car industry for more power hungry applications.
Great looking build. Very evil.
Now if this could be configured so that the glass panel would be on the right hand side of the case I might be interested
The 2023 Benny Hill 😂
Is that special "medicinal" smoke for the bad back at the beginning of that video?
hey is it possible to do a push pull configuration with the 420mm front aio?
Really wish you said what clocks the cpu was holding. The temperature literally doesn’t matter if the cpu could be holding max boost clock or throttling to death.
12:08 gigabyte 4080 gaming oc has vapor chamber, is it wise to place it vertically?
Smokey Leo - BBQ texmex
Why not make top an bottom as intake and sides as exhaust
Thats massive did Thermaltake just invent the "skyscraper" form factor?
That GPU is defying gravity its saging sideways. 🤣
tempered glass panel looks dangerously close to falling off the table
Leo's magic show! Puff of smoke and .......no else appeared, disappointing :-) Liked the build up to the point when the GPU went in, which made it looked untidy(?) Having options is good unless, llike me, your indecisive. The chimney style makes sense as heat natural rises but having M\B graphics all at 90 degrees? Not sure.

i might just be seeing things, but it looks like you put a dent in the MOBO LED heatsink graphic cover with the way you were grabbing and picking up the mobo as you were installing it. it kinda looked like it had a weird glare in that spot afterwards. that might just be me being paranoid, but now ill always be real careful about the led part on the motherboard because i was installing my real expensive ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme and accidently dropped my fanttik ele screwdriver on it when it slipped out of my hand whilst tightening a screw and it put the WORST most annoying little circular dent right in that part of the LED above where it says "ROG" and when you "know its there" i cant seem to take my eyes off it and its SO SO SO disappointing WHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY MEEEE. The only cosmetic mess up with my entire build LOL and it was my first time building. im really bummed out about my dent.
