When I was 18 (which was 12 years ago) I wanted to study music/singing at the University in my home town. When I didn't get in, I immediately stopped pursuing a career in music. About 5 years ago, I started singing again and began to sing at weddings and christenings. People liked it a lot and told their relatives and friends about it and soon I could say that this is one of my jobs now. Encouraged from all the couples and parents who liked my singing, I tried to get into a music college again in September - after 12 years and as a 30-year-old. :) And I got in! Now I study pop music/singing in my home town and earn money with singing - two things I never thought I would ever achieve. :)

The Frey Life I’ve been horseback riding for 10 years since i was 6 years old (but haven’t been able to because of my illness). I also volunteer at a seniors home :) I am also saving up my allowance to buy an Ollie pack! I almost have enough! So excited! I have a question: will the Ollie birthday bundle still be available in December? Thank you!

Fact of me: I'm going to school to become a Medical Assistance, Fiesta is the love of my life, a die hard Michigan Wolverine Fan, Go Blue, and I did a 5k walk for a cure for CF in honor of Mary Frey this past June and I plan on doing it again next year.

Hello Mary, Peter & Ollie 👋 I’m 25 but I look so much younger because I’m only 1.55 m tall (5.1 feet). I can still wear kids clothing lines (many fashion brands have the “16 years old size” and it fits me perfectly) and they’re a bit cheaper than the adult ones. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, but random people often ask me if I am still in high school!

Mary, I want you to know how brave you are, and what a good example you set for us by not stressing. I have a 3 hour doctor's appointment (testing and diagnosis - ugh) coming up Wednesday morning, and I'm stressing over it, but because you are not stressing over the hospital, I am not going to stress over the doctor's appointment. In fact, I'm going to write the title of today's vlog on a piece of paper and carry it with me - "There's no point to stressing - Mary Frey". Thank you very much for your courageousness, it helps me. xx

Got our Ollie package on Friday, but now will have to wait to open it up because it's going under the tree for our puppy as part of his Christmas. Well our grown adult puppy. We just got him a few months ago and are not sure how old he is. Now that he has gained weight back and no more boney hips and ribs he keeps looking younger and acting younger. He loves new things when realizes they are for him. Prayers for you Mary & Peter.

grayndrob, I am glad to do it. My mom begins 5 wks of chemo & radiation tomorrow (they **might** have to extend the chemo) so I understand how scary it is for a child (no matter what age we are) have something happening with their Mom.

CM Nelson, it is scary I'm 30 my mom has MS among other things and she's absolutely amazing. Moms are so special! I'll keep your mom and family in my prayers!

You guys are so adorable ❤️ I have sever anxiety and depression, just seeing how positive you are no matter what happens gives me the strength to try harder then what I do everyday. I actually have a tattoo of the saying “do what you think you can’t do” my mom used to tell me that everyday before school and when I watched your video for the first time and you said the same thing I started crying and it reminded me what I have gone through and I’m grateful to still be on this planet and be apart of the Frey life. I love you, Peter, and Oliver to the moon and back❤️ You guys have always made what I was going through so much easier to deal with.

I work in a middle school medically fragile class and found you guys by looking about how to replace a feeding tube- I have 8/14 students with feeding tubes. I hope everything goes well for you in the hospital. I pre-ordered my Ollie pack last night- I can’t wait to get it!!!! I am approching the ripe age of 18 when you are suddenly thrown into the shark tank that is adulthood, stressing about how my health and body are going to effect my future, but as you said there is no point in stressing about things we can not control. I like to keep things “small and immediate” when under stressful situations. As in, this is what I will do right now. I don’t go down roads I am not yet on. I try to accept where I am right this minute and focus only on that. It’s hard but I am pretty sure you are my inspiration for that! Best wishes.

I've been hurting muscularly for a couple months. I'm tired of taking meds and I am just tired. But I know all too well that there have been much worse days I'm my past and that helps to lift my spirits a bit. Love you guys and your positive outlook....it really does help all of us.

Medications at a hospital cost an arm and a leg compared to from a pharmacy or with Rx coverage. Healthcare in the US is a total nightmare, especially for the chronically ill.

I always have to do busy work before I have surgery, because otherwise I get extremely anxious, and the longer I let myself think about it the more I panic. I'll been thinking of you everyday you're in the hospital Mary and praying for you that it'll be a vacation just like you said!

Love you guys! Some facts about myself and my family...Well, I have depression and stenosis of my cervical spine. I still work and plan to til I cant no more. My hand and arm and shoulder function is getting worse, and trying to take care of me is hard, little lone being a single working mom. I have 4 sons, 2 are grown. My 2 teens at home are the reason I keep going, and we face a lot with one of them. We are seeking a service dog for one of my sons who has some issues he is dealing with. Love you and take it a little at a time. You got this Mary and Peter!

I have been following and preparing for my admit tomorrow too. I have had the same thoughts and feelings. Knowing prior that you are going to have a planned admit is stressful but i think it does let you think ahead and cope. Mine will be at the NIH. So I️ have never been admitted there. A lot of anxiety of the unknown! ❤️ hang in there Mary

My hubby’s mom had CF. She was sick for many years before she was diagnosed in her forties! She must have started with a very slow progression. My niece’s little girl also has CF.

Praying for you to have short stay. A few fact huh? Ok, here goes. I am a chronic pain sufferer and I’ve been raising my 9 year old granddaughter since she was about 19 months old. ( my daughter died ) she has cystic fibrosis, her nephew also has cystic fibrosis. We love love love 💗 Jesus and trust ( most of the time ) that He has a perfect plan for us even in the storm. I can't say much today (well - except for Q to Peter!) - to much pain (typing on phone w/ one unfurled finger & - scarily trusting autocorrect! - but wanted to let you know "you are,as always" in my heart & prayers. (Sorry, I just could not resist! 😀 ) Peter, I guess this would be more a question for you since I have no idea how much work is involved in preparing & uploading these vlogs. But you've both said you have so much footage & paring to 15 min is hard. I know the premise/purpose of these vlogs is to keep in touch with people but more so to show that, hard as it is to live with a terminal, miserable disease, the Father our God is with us and can be trusted. My question is could you use the footage to do produce other vlogs? Mary said the other day about a "caregiver's vlog". Other commenters (& you guys) have said about the "nonCF" parts of you lives. Stressed spelled backwards is desserts. I’ve been stressed about the way my career is going. Thought I would be a floor nurse and now I’m thinking about another form of Nursing.

Hospitals tell us to bring our meds with us because they will substitute whatever they have on hand even when they are told we are allergic. If we bring our own, they will use ours so we get what we are supposed to have. They told us after they gave Mom one she told them she was allergic to and set off a massive panic attack caused by the med.

I have been watching you for a while and I love you guys so much your videos bring me happiness

Guess by now you're at the hospital. As I'm in Australia we are 14 hours ahead of L.A , though I know you're in Boston add a few hours. I write this at 10.15pm Monday night and thinking of you checking in. I'm praying you get a good room , and that this new bacteria can be treated reasonably quickly. You're so lucky to have Peter and Ollie boy ! Can't get an Ollie boy package right now (some things came up and we had to choose between food and meds this week) But that Ollie boy package is totally on my Christmas list! That long string of labels was amazing I'm really glad they're doing so well! :) I don't know if it helps, but I get admitted often enough that I tend to keep a separate "hospital bag" always ready go. I don't know if that would help you, but I took an old tote bag and I have old pjs and stuff in there ALWAYS packed and ready to go. Might not be right for you, but just thought I'd make a suggestion in case it did help. :)

My pacemaker defibrillator surgery is Tuesday morning. I have a shellfish allergy so I have to take sterioids, stomach meds and benedryl tomorrow night and Tuesday morning before surgery. If you have a shellfish allergy you will have an allergy to the dye they have to use. Allergies can be scary if you have a serious reaction. You will be in the best place if that happens.

Will you please film when you go to the factory and pick up the doggies. Feel better mary
