calling it now, the Arathi Emperor is chained to his throne due to illness and the empire is actually run by a caste of priests^^

I hope he’s not chained, because that would suck as a Warcraft villain. Here’s hoping he’s like the emperor before heresy. That would make a much more antagonistic villain.

@@catrinastarsIf he is chained in a vegetable state he could be the "alleged" villain. No longer capable to make his wishes known.
I imagine that once the pantheon chose the Orginal continent, it’s possible that Golganneth put up the stormy seas, as a barrier to keep the corruption of Azeroths life forms from corrupting their plans. The less amount of external influence makes it easier to contain and control.
The Dragon Isles were the Dragon Isles before the sundering. When the world was sundered the dragons left the isle.
Sounds like Numinor from lord of the rings
The biggest thing they need to solve or explain(have they?) is why nobody has seen that side of Azeroth. Even from our time in space. No scouts or anything, you'd figure from Sargeras slamming the planet they would have been curious?
there is also a area not a area we know of the vulpera Jeni says there from another area across the sea " Where are you from?" "My caravan has called these sands home for much longer than I've lived. There are others across the sea, though I have never seen them myself."
@TheAccolonn love the fact you made this video after I posted the comment! The convo was what I was alluding to just didn't want to post spoilers!

The whole timeline for the Arathi Empire is so confusing & full of contradictions, but as a pally main, I can't wait to see more of them.

@7:00 .... wait. you're trying to tell me, we've been to other timelines, we've been to other planets, we've been to other COSMIC FKIN REALMS, but we STILL haven't discovered all the land on Azeroth?!?!?! LULWUT?!?!
Next expansion: the war within Accolon: guys hear me out, theres a massive war coming I know the premise of your video itbwas just a funny intro 🤣

Good catch
The Arathi has never faced the Burning legion, old gods , The Litch King ect. If there so powerful what exactly have they fought ? Are there other threats to the world that we have never heard of or seen much like they are unaware of most of the threats weve faced?
@TheAccolonn

I suspect they have been involved in their own threats.

i find it hard to believe that not a single inferno fell from the sky onto their empire when the Burning Legion invaded Azeroth. Blizz will have some explanation to do.
Dragons do grant wishes you have to grab them by the Dragon balls!
Perhaps the Arathai don't remember kalimdor or the eastern kingdoms because they are dominated by the light.
Make that the third faction, the Villain faction
Great vid, keep it up! Speculative, but a solid take. Cool direction for the story - they remind me of the scarlet crusade in their zealotry. I feel like the Vanilla alliance had notes of this - the ragtag horde could be cruel at times, but the alliance could be aloof and exclusionary, sometime taking that to deadly and terrifying places.
I can’t wait to hear the reason why they’ve been so absent, if they’re so powerful. Certainly not because they’d “handle” what we couldn’t.🙄
@TheAccolonn

Most likely? They didn't know, remember, their continent is likely very far away, so there's a good chance they had no idea what we've faced and they most likely had their own battles to fight.
At last a real BFA… As you say this my heart sinks because as the Empire hate all other races it’s pretty obvious that I Horde will yet again be forced to team up with the Alliance Scum. I just wish we never kissed and made up. Apart from that I’m loving this
If I remember correctly it was Thoradin who united the human tribes and created the first kingdom, Arathor. For centuries they ruled mankind as kings from Strom (now Stromgarde) but eventually the newer cities became independent or semi-independent and later Lordaeron's leaders became the kings of the seven cities. After Arthas killed his father, Stormwind City became the capitol. So in the eyes of the Arathi, the king of Stormwind is nothing.
A few possibilities you're missing. One: the Empire is so big that the known lands of Azeroth don't actually qualify as "the mainland". Think of the pre-sundering Kalimdor being Australia or possibly North America, and the whole rest of the *world* is out there to discover. Two: There's no real reason that dragons and the Empire can't be on the same continent. Since the Empire arrived and turned so xenophobic, dragons could be blending into Imperial civilization in visage form (fully human appearance, of course) as a means of spying and self preservation. Since the Empire hasn't knowingly interacted with dragons in such a long time that they've become legend, the dragons may have spread the granting wishes legend themselves as cover in case they were spotted in dragon form. Imperials come looking for a dragon and they find another "Imperial" looking for the same dragon that somehow no one ever manages to find. The wish granting is a convenient excuse for the faux Imperial to be out looking for a dragon by themselves so as not to have to share. Three: the Empire may have damn good reasons to be xenophobic. There could be literally anything out there facing the Empire that the Titan barrier kept *out* of the Kalimdor area as much as the barrier kept us in. With the most direct route to the world soul being inside the barrier, there could be any number of Old God level threats in the wider world - including plenty of Old Gods beyond the five that were inside the barrier. We know there was something out there eating Titan Keeper invasion forces for breakfast, it's only an assumption that it was the heretic Titan Keepers. It could well be the heretics all died to whatever is out there almost immediately on arrival, and that same whatever also ate the following forces.
Worldbuilding done right! Their emporer being an revered undead? I wonder how many mages are sacrificed to him daily! Oh, and don't forget the titans! They blocked the rest of the world from us? Or removed us from the rest of the world?! Stormy Sea? Veiled Sea? We might enter "The Final Titan" with so many more questions than we previously imagined. As for primal Kalimdor, I think it was even larger than the continents combined with so much lost ...
Couple years back I gave all the examples of how Blizzard was pursuing “Velen’s Prophecy” Accolonn and others shot it down saying it was all retconned yet here we are.
Love this If the Arathi Empire left Stormwind because it doesn't serve the light, wouldn't that open a path for them to make nice since Turalyon is in charge?
@4:08 blizz making pun of Dragon Ball here? :D
Was there two falls of Larderon? I thought the fall of Larderon was during WC3 when Arthas took it over. I thought the Arathi left like a few thousands of years ago.

Yeah, we were spitballing possible reasons ignoring timeline. The actual timeline is 2800 years ago. Issue is, we've no idea what happened back then that could explain why they left.
@LDaemontus

It wasn’t so much a “fall” but rather that the political intrigue between the nobles of Lordaeron splintered and divided themselves into the seven kingdoms that we know of now.
Accolon have you heard the word 'Renilash' which is associated with the Light Empire.... If u have....what are your thoughts abt it...?
For the Emperor...i mean the Empire!!!✊ So, can we assume that Legion fought the Arathi Empire aswell, trying to take over Azeroth? I think with all those new infos there must be some short of insight to this from Blizz, maybe in a book or something... I mean, why every universal enemy fights only the known world trying to take over the planet when the true challenge lies elsewhere? Just a thought...😉
Dragon that grant wishes is in dragon ball
As long as the Emperor is a man I’m down. Here’s hoping the unite with the Scarlet Crusade (who are actually the morally grey good guys / antiheroes, not the Forsaken who are evil), reclaim Lordaeron for Humankind, and re-establish the Kingdom of Lordaeron.
Could this lead to two new playable factions? The Alliance and Horde combined on one side and the Arathi Empire on the other?

I really hope they update the main map in wow. Kinda dumb how dragon isle and kurl tiris or what ever is the same size as eastern kingdoms and kalimdor.
great, so an Empire full of people similar to the Scarlet Brotherhood... Scarlet Empire incoming.
My char rdy, we guna crush the light n the humans
Aren't Arathians also elves/half-elves?
Damn... that would bring the opportunity to feel "small" again... imagine all the wise ppl of our "Azeroth" who think they know so much... visiting an Empire for the first time... as big as both known continents. Holy crap that would change absolutly everything.
Wish dragon's are a Destiny thing i still think there are huge similarities in there lore, i used to think of Destiny as future wow.
Im thinking the whole Empire thing will likely come into play once the current saga is over, meaning they will be the new big bad and the current known factions might have to form a new Alliance to oppose them, meaning Horde and current Alliance may merge into one faction. I mean, they will have to if they want to stand against them if they are as strong as suggested. The Empire is most definitely on the other side of Azeroth so it might be a whole new world map we would get that would be expanded over the years. Also, there is no Maelstrom on the other side i imagine so that might potentially mean that it is all one huge continent or like you suggested maybe two continents but probably much larger than any of the current continents we have on this side. That is my hope at least. Either way, it could be interesting things after the Worldsoul saga is done if they decide to roll with it. My question is, how come the Empire never even tried to come to our side of the world to investigate all of the shit we have been going through over the years and why they never interfered? They must have known a massive titan plunging a sword into a planet at least right? Although these people in Hollowfall probably is one such expedition
They have dragonballs
Maybe they were there B4 sundering?

copium, they have zero interest in making another WoW, they have stated this time and time again, it will NEVER happen.
Empire bad. No more horde and alliance they will become one faction, and the empire will be the new war in Warcraft and the “new” alliance would not have a king it would have a council
They are so powerful but never helped out with Deadwing or the Burning Legion Invasion. They are useless.
@TheAccolonn

Currently our thinking is they never even knew about those threats. They left the continent around 2800 years ago, so they wouldn't have a clue

I can't wait for it to become a reality so that Blizzard writers can have us befriend them and we can again be World of Friendcraft. You're not getting 40K levels of conflict. Sorry, that's not how Blizzard rolls.
