I misjudged the positioning of one piece of purple heart destined to be part of a larger circular cutting board. Rather than declaring a mistake I took this opportunity to make a hexagonal board.
You can salvage this kind of circular cutting board mistake by measuring the radius and outlining the circular board with straight lines a radius in length. These lines represent the outside portions of six equilateral triangles that fit inside the circle and produce a hexagon.

I used a 1/8" roundover bit
what did you pour on at the end? what finish is that?
