Thank you so much for this. This video was very helpful and the words were like they were being spoken directly to me. Very moving. I’m in that stuck place right now. Wanting to seek therapy again after a long time absent. Very scared. This video really helped me a lot in a powerful way at the perfect timing. Thank you.

So much helpful information here, had to re-watch numerous times to make sure I absorbed it all. Really fascinating to hear what Dr. Gatztambide had to say.

When I gave up drinking and smoking and got myself in great physical shape, I was sexually harassed and thrown out of work. I felt better. My associations and friendships didn't improve. I worked with tyrannically sadistic people two more years after that. Sam Vaknin said:"The only reason to improve yourself is yourself." That's certainly true. The above therapist, who's veracious and, at least, has no overt sadistic tendencies, used the word "possibly" to explain the potential of being valued more in projecting oneself into the future. Someone can certainly notice how you value yourself. There are externalities that will arguably not change. This therapist is honest. I've been watching closely.

The novel "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" is one of my favorite books of all time and it's written by Joanne Greenberg under the pen name Hannah Green. I love all of Joanne Greenberg's books.

I really need a therapist like Dr. G and I have no idea how to find one. I looked at his website and he’s not accepting emails so I can’t ask him for recommendations. I live in California. If anyone sees this and knows of good doctors that are similar to Dr. G or are just good with Borderline/Cluster B issues PLEASE help me any way you can with recommendations. I need help. Thanks to anyone who sees this and responds!

This makes sense. At least whilst in reality I can see what I need to do for "real" to accomplish what I desire to accomplish in all facets of my life. Just keep in reality as much as possible in order to live life and do towards my goals. Little-by-little. Step-by-step. When I slip away, I can always come back in and do more. Love this channel so much. ❤ Also, part of the hardship of being a person with BPD is that we aren't understood by the masses. They can't understand why we do what we do. This video would be great for the masses to see. Also, for us too in that we can gain a better understanding of ourselves through the eyes of someone who has compassion. Really great stuff here. Thank you so much!

I am of the opinion that CBT and psychotherapy do not work fo BPD. I've gained some minor insights, but not much else from them. I've done a total of about 10 years of therapy. DBT is saving me. I finally dived in and ponied up for REAL, by the book DBT and it is more helpful than anything I've ever tried. This is also clearly demonstrated in the data. I'm also not talking about the new personality disorder therapies like TFP and schema.

i am a teacher, and I see many happy dads and moms, productive people, with healthy kids. In my experience, the ones making an issue of "respect" in the household, are assholes. They are like the touchy, violent pricks you see in bars, spoiling for a fight, and always sensitized to this or that slight or offense against them. If you are a loving and devoted parent, you will likely get the kids and the respect you deserve.
