Guy's completely wrong, anyway. Thor may be a Norse God, but the Green Lantern is basically an alien god with hypertechnology that can literally make anything, anywhere, anytime. Lightning's great, but it's not instantaneous large-scale matter creation; that's "fundamental building blocks of physics" stuff. Pretty handy to be able to screw with those. Sorry, but it's just no contest. Pop Thor in an unbreakable green energy bottle and use him as a conversation piece. "Fight": over. GL can literally do it one-handed.

And Holmes' side kick was Watson and House's is Wilson. They didn't really try to be subtle about it :-) Most modern 'genius, detective' type shows take inspiration from Sherlock Holmes, just as most modern fantasies borrow from Lord of the Rings.
