Mr Dragon Age Why do incels and hateful assholes like you exist? What they’re saying is that Jane and Lisbon are perfect for each other- it’s common for people to ship others in tv shows, and vouch for them to be together. Another party- whether it’s Jane or Lisbon, is somewhat disheartening. Where did you come up with the idea that people didn’t bat an eye when Lisbon dated? Many definitely do. You’re making strawman and fighting things that aren’t there. Famous incel hypocrisy. Most of the comments here are MAKING FUN of Lisbon being jealous. The only angry one is you.

This episode was perfect. The way I see it, I think at this point Jane has realized he is in love with Lisbon and being the mentalist, he also knows how she feels. All this, of course, will make it all the more difficult for him to hunt down Red John and play his accomplices the way he liked. He didn't have anything to lose in the past, but now he has protect Lisbon, even if it means manipulating her into thinking he doesn't care for her. :D

Sounds like a thoughtful analysis, but I don't see at this point indications (through his behavior) of his awareness that he "actually" is in love with her. We don't see a shift in his awareness translated into actions. He does care about her and about her safety, of course, but he did not stop being self-absorbed and relentlessly running after his revenge. In many occasions his disregard for his partner's quests, him ignoring her or even acting cold did not seem like he was intentionally "manipulating her into thinking he doesn't care"!!! He just was excessively preoccupied lacking enough reason to worry about how might Lisbon receive his actions. If he had feelings for her, those feelings at this point were being saved/preserved and locked inside a box totally separate from all that was going on in his life. I've never seen or heard how this might be valid in real life, but on TV shows they always make it work because the producers can't outsmart themselves and create any other scenarios that would keep the audience watching a decade-long series until the end.

@@smyt-nt150 Some people just fail to see what's right in front of them, even after the amnesia episode when Jane asked Lisbon if they were sleeping together or working towards it, and she didn't deny it. Even after he compared him and her to a student and a teacher who made out with each other (or worse). Even after he told her he loved her and then played dumb. Goes to show how so many people can be brainwashed by demagogues.

When Lisbon notice that fact he realised to bring the bracelet to Lorelei will be a problem in his relation with Lisbon. He needs balance his position between the two woman. In the matter of fact Lorelei is decided to destroyed his relation with Lisbon " did you tell you we are lovers me and Jane? I guess Jane at this point is so hot with Lorelei that he cannot realize that she is using him, playing with him.

He was fighting the FBI to keep custody of Lorelei BEFORE he bought the bracelet, he also never gave it to Lorelei, nor would he have been able to since giving gifts to prisoners is a no-no. If he got it to give to her (which makes no sense), he'd have done it when he had the chance. He bought it to frame the FBI, because he knew he'd need to.

It's so real, more than that, it convinced the writers to change the focus of the story.

When Jane calls Lorelai a stepping stone to Red John you can see Teresa ricochet that thought back to herself: "Am I a stepping stone to Red John too?" Have courage, Lisbon: you are loved.

Lisbon: [is jealous] Jane: ... And I'd have asked her to marry me if I had thought she'd buy it.

this long look he gives her in the car means: I don't have any feelings for her ... but I have for you. Doesn't it?! I'm right! I have to be! :D

1:06 Jane realized there was some underlining feels Lisbon, her self, had for Jane. So he reassured her with complete focus & a slow and calm demeanor (I know that's his approach - but he took it down a notch and slowed it down a bit lol) Underlining conversation: Ooohhhh - Lisbon I assure you I have no feelings for her and you are the one I want and need.

Jane gets involved with Lisbon's team because of Red John killing his family.

I mean this in the best possible way. She oozes sexuality. It's not coincidence that she looks like Lisbon in many of the shots. In the script for the pilot episode, Teresa is introduced as a sensual woman inside a "nun-like" cop who gave up hope of a personal life. Lorelei is the opposite.

Great clip! Lisbon was completely right. Jane often thought he had everything under control, but that was just his arrogance talking.

The Red John arc made absolutely no fucking sense WHATsoever... oh, sure, it was this middle aged, not particular good shape, backwater hick sheriff dude or whatever he was? Thats the manipulative genius? thats the dude with such amazing charisma and charm that women half his age will blindly do what ever he wants or tells them too, regardless of consequence? thats the guy whose charisma is so strong women not only give their life for him, they do so gladly and smilingly? Not a damn thing about Red John made any god damn sense. Oh, Bertram was in his "network" the whole time? lol, what? I really enjoyed this series when the episodes werent focused on the Red John thing... I wish they could have just resolved that whole thing at the end of season 1 or something and then continued on with Jane finding some other reason to want to keep on helping the CBI

GroovingPict ; I always thought the cult leader, played so perfectly by Malcolm McDowell, was RJ. He played that role so well...quiet, calm, yet something sinister lurking underneath...gave me chills every time he appeared! In my opinion, that character would've been more believable as RJ. Malcolm played that guy like no one else could! It takes a special talent to bring that to life, & he did so very convincingly! There were times I had to remind myself he was just acting out a role! To this day, those episodes are my favorite's. Malcolm & Simon really shine in those scene's. Two very talented actor's!

Lorelei is a character from Germanic mythology, she was a mermaid from the Rhine river that attracted men from the rock that bears her name with her beauty and songs, causing shipwrecks and disasters. RJ sent his mistress to Jane and he enjoyed the perversion to share her with him. Jane was played for Lorelei. She puts him on like a toaster . Jane risk a lot to obtein little and all that shit he done hoping to obtein the RJ's name could finish in a disaster. Lisbon is right. Finally and once again Jane was manipulated by RJ.

I know this is hard on Teresa and I don’t blame her for being pissed off, but this whole thing with Lorelei, I believe that Patrick was playing a role. I believe him. I think he felt compassion for Lorelei but never love. That kiss he gave her was more business-like. Later in the season, when Lorelei kisses him again, he holds her at bay. Not even pretending to embrace her. His actions show he doesn’t like her.

He bougth the bracelet for Lorelai but Lisbon's reaction makes Jane regret the idea.

And she reactes exactly like she was his girlfriend! Freud would give his approval for this these lines)))

Lorelei is annoying! I want that Jane and Lisbon finally come closer!
