Love your instructions, that is a beautiful pie pan! This is similar to my recipe that was passed down from my Mom. Ginger is totally the secret ingredient. Differences: she only used evaporated milk, she did not use nutmeg, she used graham cracker crust and only vanilla extract. I've been trying to perfect my recipe, my Mom's pies were legendary. I'm about 99% there, I think the missing ingredient is love! ❤💕💖

OK Alexus, I am going to try roasting the potatoes. Don't tell my family! I am also gonna try the sweetened condensed milk. I can't do the lemon extract, my SIL has a very discerning palate and she will detect it right away!

This is an excellent recipe and I have never tried it because my mother has the same ingredients except 1. So I know this will be good for a fact as I've been eating this pie recipe for over 50 years. The 1 thing my mother don't use but have tried is condensed milk it makes for a sweeter pie.

I’m in agreement! Learned a secret to reduce the strings…cut off both ends of the potato after baking…that’s where the most strings accumulate 😮😊 Happy Holidays 🥧

If you get a kitchen aid mixer it'll change your life. The silver attachment makes it so easy to remove strings it's an all in one job
