Love the song. I’ve been cooking pies since I was a kid. My mama taught me. I love the little hints you gave and I am going to try them. To tell you the truth Ms Brenda, there was this bakery called Peoples Bakery. Their pies taste like mama baked them. So for a time an old girl always orders from Peoples. But they closed after years of service to the community, so I have to make my own pies again. Thanks for the tips❤😊😊😊

I use a food processor and puree my sweet potatoes, prior to makinng my sweet potato pies or sweet potato xheesecakes, No lumps or strings and even a baby can eat them because they are pureed, Hope this helps.

Hi, Ms. Brenda Dee! This sweet potato pie turned out great! I like that you used a combination of vanilla and lemon extract: I think citrus goes well with sweet potato. This had the right amount of spice, too--speaking of which, I need to cook with allspice more. I liked how the filling was a bright orange--in other pies, sometimes the filling is more brown, but this pie was a beautiful orange color. Thanks for this great recipe, Ms. Dee!
