YES i absolutely agree! I think that's also part of the reason why the TCG and Decked Out have been such big hits. Obviously they're great games by themselves with amazing concepts and executions, but the fun interactions between hermits that happened while playing or waiting to play were the real treat for me! :) it's just so nice and cozy to watch them just hang out and have fun without stressing about big projects they want to finish. 😊

I'm in the same boat! Those times where they're messing around and having good laughs with one another tend to be some of the most enjoyable moments. As Marie mentioned, the waiting room for Decked Out perfectly illustrates that idea, showcasing how the chemistry between everyone results in the creation of very naturally funny and interesting interactions.

This is addressing the conversation about the Hermitcraft community. I was in the hospital last year with my second brain tumor surgery (sounds awful, but I'm good), and my husband and I were watching a Grian video. A nurse came in and we paused it, but he had heard a little and asked, in a bit of a strange tone, what we were watching. We said we were watching a Minecraft KZreadr, and he wanted to know specifically which one. When we said "Grian" he said "I love Grian!" He said he got into Hermitcraft watching it with his niece and nephew but now he just watches it anyway. So it's a small Hermit world, with a big community :)

X hit the nail on the head. I found Hermitcraft during the pandemic. I watch you all (and, yes, I’m including Skizz) for who you are, your personalities, your interactions with each other and your communities. You’ve built an amazing community that I feel comfortable hanging out with. I love how I recognize the same viewer names in every Hermits’ chats. It is also why we watch other streams and videos beside Minecraft-I’m loving Phasmo and the Brain Teaser games X plays. Also, X’s avatar or a human Imp or Skizz, they are all just avatars. You are on a 2D screen and I probably won’t meet any of you-it’s your personalities that we connect with. Can’t wait until next week!! Thanks!

Impulse : do not be unhappy about you aging. People who have been following you aged too and you just legitimate their love for a "younger" activity. I'm 47, and seeing you guys makes me less uncomfortable about playing games all the time ^^ And younger people seeing you for the first time? Gosh, I bet they'd love to have a dad like you. Xisuma : for all the privacy you keep, hiding who you legally are, you're probably the most open person out there : you talk about your feelings, your hardships, and it's always so heartfelt, and so deep, it makes me emotional. Thank you. Skizz? You're a compass to those guys, to understanding them : you are one of us, a watcher, a fan, even if you're a content creator yourself. You're a bit like Pixlriffs, outside the box, but with eyes on it and in it. And I really hope one day you get the joy to join that HC crew, even for just a short time. As for Hermitcraft reaching the bottom of the barrel? Dudes... really? This season is one of the most amazing ever! You guys have been brimming with creativity, and even if it's not the first time, it's bigger, better, cuter, more, just more. So much happened, so many stories were told, so many castles were built, so many monsters were slain, so many obstacles were vanquished. You all make our days happier. Please don't stop.

I think X's analysis on how the Hermitcraft "Community" has evolved (especially through the pandemic) is 100% spot on. I view the server so differently now than I did in the past. In the past, I saw it as a shared space for individual creativity (everyone kind of does what they want on their own terms, very little collaboration). I think there were two major catalysts for this: 1.) When Grian joined, a massive fanbase that didn't really overlap that much with Hermitcraft flooded all to content creators in this space. 2.) Season 8 (While it may not be everyone's favorite), in my opinion, it opened all the Hermit's eyes to a whole new way of producing content: As a community. Season 8 (with Boatem as a prime example) we saw collaboration on a scale that had never been done on Hermitcraft. Now in Season 9 with TCG and Decked Out, you are doing it all over again, creating a massive community behind you that is excited to watch all angles and long form (largely unedited) content. We all just want to know how you all react to the world, together. Kudos to all of you, GG, keep it up.

Really, really love hearing xisumavoid talk about stuff, and not just Minecraft. Watching his VODs where he goes on about different topics can be really enlightening. Heard him talk about his epiphany that led him to that attitude shift earlier in life, and how he stepped out of his comfort zone to take on the stewardship of Hermitcraft. Seeing how hard the KZread grind can be for the other Hermits, you can really appreciate that kind of perspective.

Despite the recent growth in minecraft content in the past few years (more SMP, speedruns, manhunt, mods, etc.), Hermitcraft had always been a constant in my life ever since I stumbled on their videos in season 6. This season of hermitcraft has become my favorite so far. The sense of community is so strong, and the best moments haven’t been the builds (though those are amazing!) but instead it’s been these incredible moments between hermits. The conversations, the helping, the advice, and even the pranks have all just felt more… real, I guess? The vibe is fantastic, the atmosphere is uplifting, and every episode seems to exude joy and heart. I feel lucky to get to watch and experience it.

I had been watching Red since I first started MC in 2012. It was a huge turning point for me as a builder, watching him and then many other Hermits do their thing. You all have been such an inspiration to me and my building ability. I always make it a thing to hand one of you off to a friend to get hooked on the Hermits. I just sent a new viewer to your realm this week. They are binge watching now.

It was so refreshing to come home and watch Hermitcraft, cause y’all NEVER talked about what was going on in the world. That was HUGE for me. Thank y’all ❤

This makes me proud to work with X directly, re-listening to his story from the begining resonates so much with my own story and gives me hope for sucess in the future, X is truly an amazing person even when you interact with him away from a camera, trust me, this was such a cool episode, X was my inspiration to press the record button and learn how to make a video, how to record, how to edit and that made me learn so many skills, honestly all thanks to this guy. I had never goten to watch the show but now i know i have a bunch of episodes to listen to! Thank you Imp and Skizz for the amazing content!

25:00 I think we need to start looking at it not as a "real job" vs not, but more so as "stable income" vs "unstable". Content creation is 100% a REAL job, but it's not the most stable financially. For many people, no matter how creative or how many hours they put in, their content may not land with others. In spite of working, it's a very real possibility to not be financially stable as a creative.

Just teared up when Impulse was talking about that meeting during the pandemic. It was when I was introduced to Minecraft and the HermitCraft community and it really did have a huge impact on me during that terrible time. And Xisuma is right, I watch now to see your interactions between each other and to be part of this wonderful community. Thank you guys for what you do 💜

Recently downloaded all 60+ hours of the podcast and been listening to all the ones that I haven't seen yet. Really, really good stuff. It's so cool and fun to listen to the stories you guys tell. I relate to you guys on several different levels - marching band, minecraft and software development being the main ones. I'm recently having to go through a job change due to moving and it's a bit stressful so it's very encouraging listening to your podcasts. Keep it up!

Hes always able to see another persons point of view, and that makes for very good conversation. I love picking his brain on streams, and i think more people need to be like X...

Wow. This podcast had so many amazing discussion points!! Firstly, it makes so much sense to hear X say hes a creative. Ive never really noticed that, but looking back if makes so much sense and the thing i love most about his videos is when he like “tinkers” with stuff. Also, I am a very small creator (different channel), and you guy hit the nail on the head that it is SO hard to break past that 1K sub mark. Ive been doing this for almost 2 years and still barely at 600. I post regularly… but the problem is im not technical enough or a skilled enough builder to outdo any of the existing creators who have played this game for 10+ years, and youtube doesn’t have that community to it anymore… its every man for himself. But yeah going into content creation i had negative idea on how much i would need to learn to do this. How much analysis it would take, how much editing, planning, photoshop skills, etc… it really is insane the things we learn to improve our content and it truly never stops. Also, “after so many years theres only so many ways to make a carrot farm”. Was perfectly accurate. For me (i started watching early S7) HC has always been about you guys rather than the Minecraft. Of course i love whay you guys do in game, but your interactions is what took the cake. Also, last thing. X: “yeah im 18” Skizz: “my gray hairs are 18” I about died 😂😂 cant wait for part 2. X is really amazing.

it's really wonderful to hear x smile here. i had the exact same first experience of minecraft as x, playing on the alphas of pocket edition when i was little i hadn't learned how to turn around and similarly got killed by a zombie from behind without ever seeing it, and despite that fell in love with the game. but also he was really right saying that we watch hermitcraft for the community rather than the game now. i haven't played minecraft in a few years but i so enjoy watching all of your perspectives every week and it's one of my biggest spots of joy during a stressful period of life

I know there is so much pressure to do face reveals, but I 100% agree that remaining anonymous is the best for content creators, if that’s what you wish to do. It allows you to not have to worry about always having to present yourself the way that your viewers see you, you can just be a person. I’m not sure if I’m explaining it right at all, but that’s my feel
