one of the things that broke me was in beefs video he said something along the lines of "i havent, i dont, i didnt... talk to him often" you coild just hear in his voice he really processed it then

WELL HELLO THERE- And really, I think it's the best way to put it. TFC was a man who really enjoyed the simple things: Mining. It's what he did. So I hope, wherever he went, he gets to do it all the time. And I do hope his pickaxe never gets dull. They're very annoying to sharpen!

cleo's one being silent is so heartbreaking. on a livestream a while back tfc somehow got brought up and they said that when her mom died, they didn't really cry bc they were expecting it. with tfc's death, no one was expecting it. no doubt she was crying while recording that

As somebody who started walking hermitcraft a few months after empires SMP season 2 ended, from Grian's perspective, I never knew or watched tinfoilchef's content. Even though I didn't know him, I still connect with the Hermits and TFC's family and the pain of losing one they love. Rest in peace, TFC.❤

I never thought I’d miss TFC so much as I do. remember watching his Hermitcraft videos when I was at my darkest and I believe the comfort he exuded shaped me into the person I am today. It’s been one year. I hope you’re resting in peace TFC.

Ive never even watched tfc in my life before, and this was a year ago But i am drowning in tears. Rest in peace, TinFoilChef.

He was a player for the Older Generation we laughed with him , We made the same mistakes 😂But he was also the Hermit for many fans..He is missed and I still expect to hear his booming laughter.. TFC may the diamonds be many and the Pickaxe Never Break..😢🌟

Thank you for putting these clips together. Seeing this made me believe what a great person TFC was, even though i sadly never got to know him. All of the Hermits paying respect is beautiful and how much it means to them. Rest in peace

Far out, this hit me harder than i was expecting. I didn't watch his content but i always loved seeing/hearing him in the background of the other hermits' videos. I'll miss his big booming joyous laugh. Rip TinFoilChef.

I won't lie, I didn't know TFC much but, gods this has me actively sobbing

I still can't help but think about the fact that he put some iron on to smelt then went off to read. And I laughed, because I do that too. But he never came back for his iron...

it really hurts to see the normally up and cheery hermits in such a sadden and gloomy tone. You can tell their all going though something. Even if you don’t know him well or didn’t watch him, it still hurts. He was a true hermit and that simply just can’t be replaced. It’s never easy to deal with situations like this. He was like family to the hermits and us, he’s something you can never replace. Some people may still be grieving even a year later, and thats okay. Everyone grieves in their own way, and thats okay. RIP TFC. I hope you flying high, you legend

I didn't really know much about him but the way the Hermit members speaks about him really got me. May he rest in peace. He will be missed.

He went back to pay his respects again during his finale, too. At least TFC was remembered before that season ended as well

i haven't had chance to watch all hermits povs so i'd only seen a few of the memorials but tango's and cub's hit incredibly hard. rip tfc, i can't believe it's been a year

His hearty laugh got me through a lot during covid when I was working the ambulance. His simplistic approach is rare now a days and it is missed

can't believe it's been a year. Rip TFC.

I hope there will be a shrine to commemorate him in the following HC seasons. Maybe something as simple as a stone Pickaxe statue, and for each season, it becomes slightly more mossy and overgrown, but never completely hidden. It's just there as a monument or waypoint throughout time.

I had never watched him but I knew who he was from watching other people play hermitcraft yet I can’t watch this video without tearing up r.i.p tinfoilchef

He was one of my favourites hermits to watch. He was always a joy to put on in the background of any activity and just listen to. His laughter was one of the loudest snd most heartwarming things ever. Every second he was on screen was wonderful and hermitcraft just would not have been the same without him. Back in season 6, there was an multi animator project based around the demise games and I had the absolute honour of animating him for that small project. Back then, I wasn't all that good of an animator, I've definitely improved since then but back then I was forever struggling to find a style that worked, but looking back on that animation will forever bring out those good memories of watching him and hearing that blessed laugh. TinFoilChef was a true hermit, and I just hope he's enjoying the mines in the sky, collecting every diamond he finds and never running into another underwater cave ever again. o7

I loved watching hermitcraft and he was so nice to his viewers thank you and my condolences to his family RIP TinFoilChef

Rewatching this and it still makes me weep tfc was a angel of a man and to see him gone still breaks my heart to this day

I never watched tfc other vid not hermit craft and I found out when I was on HC9:ep.4 when I decided to watch a video about heritcraft members who left and he was the last one and when he said that he didn't just leave and that he died my heart sank up to date I still wish we got just 1 more episode from him man was a legend rest in peace tfc you are still missed o7

To be honest, I’m not surprised it said in his obituary that he just seemingly disappeared for 20 years 😂. Also that is the most vulnerable I’ve ever seen doc be. These people truly love him

I came back to watch this because I never really seen the hermits talk about TFCs passing and I admit I hadn’t been looking for it, I was still mourning the loss of technoblade. I went back to watch some of his hermitcraft videos and he was such a kind man, he reminded me of my grandpa. RIP mr TFC

I only found out about TinFoilChef when Grian joined Hermitcraft and also when he announced his death but despite him being a complete stranger to me, I can see that he was a highly valued hermit member I both love and respect him for having been on this earth and being part of a great server of crazy and ridiculous jokesters It* makes me emotional seeing these videos about him and I wish I got to know him as a viewer much sooner but atleast now I know. Even though he's passed, that doesnt mean I dont get to smile at what others has experienced when viewers watched or friends played wifh him "Don't be sad that its gone, Smile because it happened" Again, my deepest condolences and may he rest in peace ( •̛̣̣꒶̯•̛̣̣ )❤🕯*

Hearing Doc cry really hit hard

I don't even have the words right now, I never got to see his vids during his lifetime. All I can say is Game On Brother, a fellow Minecrafter.

Death has been happening for thousands of years, and we still can’t get used to it. We don’t know how much a person truly impacts us until they are gone. I didn’t know about TFC until 2021 or 2022 so honestly I am not grieving. But I feel sorrow for those close to him, and know what it’s like to lose a friend.

RIP TFC. May your mines and mining skills live on in season 10, and all other seasons after that.

I am just recently watching Gems POV on hermitcraft and was so confused, after doing research and watching a few videos of him. It breaks my heart that such a lovely human being had to pass. In the few minutes that I watched him, he reminded me a lot of my Grandpa that also passed in 2022. I know I’m late on this but rest well TFC🫶🏼
