There is a crude elegance to the model. It takes nothing away from the "Fitz", and demonstrates a respect for both the boat and the men who died within her. Thank you for not using that same "fish" song and "My heart will drone on".

Sorry mate been busy sailing I currently working on Clovehitch a scratch build model of my Grandfathers ship. For the Summer I sail my yacht and winter work in model ships for my hobby. The model do take awhile so occasionally upload videos of my current life and updates. Thanks for your interest mate

The model ship itself is a nicely built replica 👍

It didn't break on the surface as far as I can tell. The propulsion system would have still been going by how the lifeboats were violently torn up, so the back end would have traveled farther ahead of the bow

American Flag should be on the stern. Ship didn't break on the surface, if it did they would have found bodies like the Morrell and Bradley. Nice model.

did they ever find out why it sank I remember seeing a doco said in big sea in those lakes that it coukd of bottomed out causing it to break in half but was only a theory though

Ahoy there! , It sank from 50 60 knot storm happened suddenly and hatchets were not locked letting water fill the cargo full of coal causing to break in half.

Whereas I usually enjoy ship models. This is really in poor taste. The Entire crew of the Fitz died the night she sank. They lay within her hull to this day. And the families of those men still mourn for them to this day. And even had laws passed to keep divers and so called salvagers away from the wreck as it is a tomb to the 29 men who died on her. And yet you make a sinking model of the ship like it's just fun to mock the sinking of the ship and the death of her entire crew......That is really heartless and in total bad taste....
