neighbours, relatives, acquaintances, people in the society as a whole, curse you and our family if they aren't invited to the wedding... they make our lives a living hell if lavish and grand wedding parties aren't thrown by keeping to taunt our whole life...so it's not totally our choice, it becomes a compulsion...

People spend disgusting amounts of money on weddings, birthday parties, big houses, luxury cars, designer clothes and expensive phones, and meanwhile there are people dying in poverty every single day of the week. Alhamdoulillah me and my husband just made a simple nikah in mosque without any parties only 4 witnesses and thats it! In our religion wedding parties are prohibited! As our prophet Mohammed (saw) said the most blessed marriages are the ones with the less expenses! And Allah knows best!

N I my family said We can change venue don't cancel wedding but they didn't agreed.... My wedding was supposed to happen on Feb 24 ,2019.... Got cancel on Jan 9,2019....since that day I cnt tell wt I'm going through..... Kindly remember me while having dua....

It's probably for the good sister. If they couldn't even agree with you on a venue, think of all the things that comes after the marriage. Allah himself has advised not to dwell on things that we lost, because he will replace it with something better if we put our trust in him. Trust the Almighty's plan, say Subhanallah and move on. Allah will surely bless you with a partner who could bring all the goodness of this life and the life after.

This came just in time, SubhanAllahسبحان الله! Pray for me that Allah will make family accept this.

I spend $1500 for my wedding alhamdulilaah equivalent to £1200 . Truly am blessed in my marriage alhamdulilaah.

Personally I’d like to have a wedding in the summer, some sunshine at the park with food for the passerby’s and a welcoming simple setting everyone can enjoy the day and sit on those adorable pick nick mats. Not too much money, hopefully thoughtful and inshallah some day also blessed

We used weddings party to actually share the happiness.. Yes it's different from those weddings.. Since we lived in villages.. So we shares food with them as gratitide of the blessing to Allah.. (and all invited actually) We work together too for the wedding.. And the food.. They are delicious... We made ourselves 😄
