I reverted 25th,March 2023. Alhamdulillah, my mom didn't reject me, but she didn't talk to me for more or less two weeks. I couldn't remember exactly. As day goes by since the night i reverted, every prayer time, i always added my prayer for my mom and me to be ok. Then a day, before Eid alfitr, we became ok. She talked to me. Became concern, of me that i needed to wake up early to pray. Etc. Etc.

Watching convert stories is definitely one of the best ways to renew your iman. I looovee this series

My mom hasn't spoken to me since I told her that I reverted to Islam... I haven't told my dad yet because I don't know how he'll react. I've always dressed decently so they wouldn't notice the difference, and now I live on my own so I can perform ibadah without having to hide. Alhamdulillah for my sister though. She's the absolute best!!

I think living on ur own will help you a lot because those who lives with their parents like this sister goes through a lot and some don’t know the reaction of their parents. Moreover, most of the reverts goes through trials and Allah is testing you how strong u are if you know what mean? If you pass the trial period where maybe your parents rejects u, ur friends tells you, are u doing this or that for this? Where ur siblings tells you don’t call us or blocks u, where maybe ur supervisor fires you then definitely ur are winner! This is verse from the Quran! امَنُواْ ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ Translation: O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. @@deeedee5041 that is a very good question no and ye in islam we belief that the bible in its orignal state (i.e before it was changed/corrupted) was the word of god sent down to jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) as he was a phrophet who relayed the same message as muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) that there is only one god and not to associate others with him and to worship him same could be applied to moses (peace and blessings be upon him) as we believed that all the other books was for there respective time period and that now they all have been changed (i.e by the people) to then follow muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as he is the final messenger and servant of god this would then make sense as to why you see some similarties with the bible and the quran hope this answers your question and have a wonderful day :)

This interview touches me so much. This sister saying " I prefer being a slave to the one who creates me rather than being a slave to something that will end just like me", this touches my heart deeply this morning to the point of shedding tears. Also reminding us that true freedom is removing the shackles place by people and being free to live a purposeful life and making your life's decisions for your creator. Sister you've made my day. As a revert sister my self I can relate a lot to her story. Listening to her brought back memories. Besides the struggles she went through to get where she is now, which many of reverts go through, but when she mentioned sheikh Khalid yasin I started crying. In year 1999 someone gave a tape in an islamic gathering. Just told me to listen to it and that i will like it. Back then I was interested in islam but my heart was not there yet. I went home that night and started listening to it. And the title was PURPOSE OF LIFE. It changed my life completely. That night i knew i could no more resist it any longer and i decided to be part of this beautiful Deen. And I still listen to it to kind of put me back online with the reality of this dunya. May Allah guide us all. And help us to stay firm on my Deen Ameen.

Surah 9:5: "Then kill the disbelievers (non-Muslims) wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush …" Surah 3:151: "We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve (all non-Muslims) …" Surah 2:191: "And kill them (non-Muslims) wherever you find them … kill them.
