THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO YOUR ST WHILE DRIVING | SILICONE RADIATOR HOSE INSTALL ON THE ST
In this video, we install the 5 piece silicone radiator hoses to the mk2 st 225 courtesy of Mk motorsport.
Big thanks to MK motorsport for the awesome set of hoses.
They come in sets of 3 or 5, however, id advise doing 5 if it's affordable.

You’d be surprised with BC coilovers- I had them on my second ST 8 years ago along with white line anti roll bars, poly bushes, anti lift kit etc. Every so often the rears clunked slightly- I cant remember exactly what we did but some form of fabricated rubber seal at the top of the struts sorted it out.

I fitted a full silicone coolant hose kit to my mates ST a few months ago. The heater matrix hoses were really awkward, had to use a dremel to grind through factory hose clamps. It took me all day to change the full set. The cooling system doesn't have a bleed screw on these ST's, just fill up with coolant, turn heater onto full and keep the revs up to 2.5k for 5-10mins. Check level, screw cap on and take it for a drive, recheck level.

I remember when I done my silicone hoses on my ST the small hose that comes of the side if the block into the header tank I was sat for about three and half hours with a hacksaw blade just trying to cut that clip off that holds it on and also fitted a pro alloy race performance radiator in the same day aswell that was even more fun lol

Another good video George 👍, in my opinion the engine bay would have looked better with red coolant pipes 😁 but still looks good. Keep them videos coming as you are giving me ideas for my ST2 😁

Pro tip. NEVER try to undo the plastic radiator plug to drain the coolant. They go brittle and you will most likely break it, leaving you with a leak until you can get another plug. Just take off the coolant pipe, it's easier.

You need to get it on a 4 post ramp mate, like what you have an MOT done on, that way the weight of the car is on the suspension, much easier to find anything that’s knocking or worn, when it’s hanging on a 2 poster often things don’t show up 👍

Did you know George, that under your ST slam panel you will find a proper bonnet prop holder? Will be much better when you get the RS slam panel on, or a diesel one.

You didn't show the clip at theend of hose connecting to the engine from the coolant bottle, for the heater, as my pipe has a small hole, just at the clip, and can't find anywhere that shows you how to get it out,?

Here I go again..... Would have been better to get the ancilliary hoses at the same time because the longer one that comes from the heater matrix goes under the coolant hose you took out next to the battery box. It is a T.W.A.T. to get on when that coolant pipe is on. Not impossible, just awkward.

Pro ramair ; is this the Airtec / AutoSpecialists one with the plate, RS slam panel, and K&N Group A filter? Sounds awesome mate, got it on mine. Remember to check out Problem Solving Bushings (PSB) for a set of poly bushes. If Alan has a press it will be a piece of piss. good choice for the black silicone pipework too, the coloured stuff gets grubby over time. I have red induction pipework but that's where I will leave it. Rest is going to be black.

Easyrider8111 Mine started a seeing a small bit of steam when raining, then one day after a spirited drive steam just exploded from this area, luckily I was at traffic lights so pulled over and switch off straight away, half my coolant was gone by this stage! Was close to killing my engine, imagine if I’d been on the motorway, probably wouldn’t have caught it in time and bye bye engine!!!

Easyrider8111 This hose set definitely comes as a 4 piece set, I binned those plastic connectors and just replaced them with plastic coolant hose joiners. 20mm to 20mm and 22mm to 20mm was the diameter needed for me.
