I JUST FINISHED 100% THIS GAME AND IT WAS PAINFUL

Same. I love how on Sith master diff. you have different types of enemies that can knock you down with attacks, you get back up only to get stun locked attacked again.

I would've preferred a story about Darth Vader hunting down Jedi Masters and dealing with the tramua of post ROTS. Instead, it's a power fantasy crap fest with bland Starkiller. Personally, I prefer walking as Vader than running. Feeling that slow and powerful being walking and destroying everyone is way more satisfying than being Gary Stu.

If you played it on the most 2 current gens, theres definitely twxhnical issues. But if you played it on 360/ps3 it performed WAY better. That being said, theres so much good content in such a short game. No other star wars game allowed you to feel unstoppable. This game is a masterpiece. Only deoends on when you played it.

I played it in 2008 and thought it was good, then played it again whenever I made this vid and it was terrible. So it is bad.

Bought the game recently for PC cuz I played it as a kid. Aside from the crappy port to steam the game has a lot of jank and the boss fights can be less than stellar (especially the Vader one) but still enjoy it

Yeah I think a lot of my issues came from the increased frame rate from the series x But the pessimism is mainly for show. Still there’s deffs some residual displeasure even now.

i played this game for the first time a few days ago and i can definitely see why someone wouldnt like it. I was really expecting to say that the statement was bold yet brave. But these reasons were kinda... petty. Or genuine issues with your copy of the game. Targeting wasnt an issue for me. But for you it seems to be and its very clear from the footage. And thats totally fair. Though i am surprised you didnt think to just throw stuff at the enemies who are out of range with the items closeby in the footage. Or why you kept trying to do something the game clearly wants you not to do like... running into a hazard... 3 times... 9:00 or attacking an invincible enemy... 3 times... 38:55 I also notice you blamed the games targeting on the boss being free from the force grip when he just broke free 39:34 If you have the footage to edit, why lie to those who uninformed when its easy to those who played it to see what happened? Then theres the weird hatred towards QTEs. Other games have QTEs. They're just flashy finishers and was commonplace during the time of the games release. Yet you point them out like they're a stain on the game. 15:33 Did you just say "they become invulnerable to any attack" while showing the boss taking damage and getting knocked down while in this state? You're the one editing this how did you miss that? I, like you, found most bosses to be stressful and unfun especially Vader's but what you're showing is not what you're saying. For other complaints like the platforming, why didnt you use the dash button? It works in midair and is pretty useful for most of the platforming. It can even be upgraded. 24:05 what..is ridiculous about pressing the Melee button 3 times and then Force Push/Lighting? Thats most of the combos... And why would you complain about the combat while openly admitting to not being able to press Dodge into Lightning or Melee into Lightning and actively avoiding most of the options the game has to offer? And on Darth's movement, he doesnt run. Im pretty sure he doesnt sprint very often. And ye ye i know no one would read this but i gotta get this off my chest because I was really hoping to get on board with seeing why someone wouldnt like it and all i got was someone who didnt bother to understand the game and openly admit to not knowing what he's doing. And even lying to the audience with some of this information when most of the issues are solved by interacting with the game

I am brave yet bold. Yeah it’s really world changing propaganda. The masses are obviously duped. Why do people think I’m going to remember anything about a 2008 Lucas arts property that’s now owned by Disney that I hate. The game is awful, the end result is the same. Don’t care how we get there. However I would implore you to actually analyse it more closely, multiple times a day for the rest of your life. Maybe then you’ll pick up something you’ve missed or were wrong about. Why tf would I put more work into editing it to be deceptive? I’m just lazy

Like, no offense to you as this isnt a dig at you, but I imagine at least a portion of the dislikes from the current 1k likes to 994 dislikes comes from people who didnt see the video and just pressed dislike because you dared talk about their game. But I did, and there were genuine flaws. Thats why i made the joke "bold yet brave" because someone disliking it is a genuinely different take than what I normally see. I have no clue what you're even implying here. You want me to analyze the game? I already admitted the game was flawed and i could see someone not liking it. If anything I was hoping you'd talk about an actual flaw in the combat rather than saying you didnt bother to learn how it works, like how Starkiller will flail wildly at the air instead of jumping, dodging, or doing another action. He will be stuck in the attack animation unless you get stunned by an attack or tap the block button to cancel it and gain back control. Ya know, an actual flaw. At least in the version i played on 360. Like, the only thing I'm 100 percent sure is a response to what I said was the last line about being lazy instead of deceptive but its still not a very good excuse saying one thing while showing the exact opposite for a moment.

I played the game on Wii for the first time a few years back, it works so much better on the Wii so maybe try to pick up a copy of it, it's honestly fun asf because you have to basically shake the Wii remote to use the lightsaber which gives a little wrist workout

All i knew about this game was i heard everyone calling it the best star wars game ever made (and did it have kinect support or was that the 2nd game) and i bought it to play on pc Will post an opinion once i have played it

I can definetely agree the game has flaws, but one of your first gripes is that when you get to live a sith's power trip and take down an entire rebel settlement as Darth Vader, you can't run? My guy, it's *Darth. Vader.* First of all, he's a cripple. Second of all, when have you ever seen Darth Vader run? I think he can't even count his fingers out with all the times he walked faster than 2mph, and he's missing a few. God forbid they portray arguably the most famous character in the franchise in an accurate way. Not sitting through 45 mins of this

My problem with this game was how we had to come back to the planets we were on in the last half of the game. When I replay this game I always play the first half and then I drop off.

​@upfishsinclair except it's not Disney's fault, as this game came out in 2008, 4 years before Disney bought Star Wars.

Just started playing it for the first time ever on my PS3. This game is AWFUL. Lousy story, unbelievably short, bad/delayed/clunky controls, the characters are so flat and bland, it's just terrible. I'm sure for the TIME it was alright, but I was playing games back in 08 and they weren't THIS bad.

@@upfishsinclair nah just ignorant or uninformed, the novel had the development the game didn't and tbh if you didn't grasp the concept that starkiller is minimalistic as a character because, like his training, he was taught only what he needed, then thats more of an iq problem than anything. the character development is constant throughout. firstly galen was loyal to vader but the second he said to kill imperials as well as rebels above nar'shaddaa he questions it, but does it because hes loyal, same happens on raxus prime and felucia. yeah he questions it and you can see it in his facial expressions but if you didnt watch the cutscenes that show this clearly thats just ignorance. as for when he gets backstabbed by vader he understands at the time then when he's killed and brought back he instantly begins to doubt vaders intentions and as soon as hes back he demands vader tell him why he did it. when he then meets kota he then questions his roots in the force and begins to learn the way if the light. when he then goes to kashyyk hes struck with a vision of his fathers demise and he regains his memory of his childhood, but it comes back in short amounts. it fully returns after he forms the rebellion and then he uses his newfound clarity to push foward and take on his master. he goes from being a puppet to learning his past and forming the rebellion, acting under instinct instead of orders, being calm instead of savage, a beacon of light instead of a weapon of darkness. you can pin the blame to the devs for the boring characters but keep in mind george lucas wrote most of the story and the characters.

Played this game for the first time recently. People talk about it like its a masterpiece, but its so bad. Only redeeming quality is Shaak Ti and her hot apprentice.

Yea i went on a bit of an old star wars game spree with battlefront 2 and republic commando. Both were fantastic games. But i just couldnt finish the force unleashed, the star destroyer part brought me onto the brink of tears, mainly because my controller wasnt working on my pc so i had to use a keyboard and mouse but it was just so tedious. Im actually having a way better time with the sequel, it may have a lot of graphical bugs but the gameplay is smooth for the most part
