@@Barney_rubble983 It had a combination of a decent price point, very good battery life, and quality games compared to the competitors of the time (Tiger one-off handhelds, Game Gear, etc.) plus Nintendo's massive marketing momentum from the success of the NES. If you were born after the GameBoy Color or GameBoy Advance came out you might not see the significance, the way that someone born into the N64 era (much less anything more recent than that) might have a hard time getting into sprite based games of the NES, SNES, or Genesis.

Fun fact: I got this as a gift for a family friend, seeing as it was only $20 or so at Walmart, and he absolutely loved it.

Most of these 1000 in 1 bootleg systems just spam the same game in a different order or with a different change. Imagine being the kid who got that for their birthday. We need to take a second of silence for them...

@@Bearman851 Same, I tried looking for a video editing software and I got filmora9, all I got was ads for it for a while, even though I deleted it because It leaves a huge ugly watermark over your video, maybe if you pay for it its better, but as a free editor, nobody I know would use it.

The games on this console kinda reminds me of those games you would play on a airport. (Yes, some airplanes actually had a screen with a controller for every seat, and not only could you watch films and cartoons on them, but you could actually play games on them. @@quandaleprogg the special moves are just opening boxes with different effects Down Special: Teleporting the opponent into the box Side Special: Healing 100% of the damage down to the user Up Special: Gives the user flight and invincibility Neutral Special: Gives the user invincibility by hiding in a box All other moves do nothing The character is supposed to be used to bore the opponent just like the source game, but this smash character is supposed to make the opponent so bored they SD just to actually be able to do something that matters in the fight

You know, my grandmother got me that red and black gameboy thing from the thumbnail for Christmas one year as she knows I like odd things like that. One of the oddest games is some of trampoline game where you save oddly colored versions of the characters from Hamtaro.
