I personally don’t like over-the-top creepy pasta piracy screens where you know exactly what’s gonna happen. I prefer ones that look genuine and aren’t stupid and self-aware.

Than analog horror is the right horror for you! It has no jumpscares, just creepy imagery

The Doom one was ironic because it was E1M1 which was playable in the free shareware demo

The Kickstarter exclusive demo of Baldi's Basics actually had an own antipiracy screen

imagine being the lad who recorded EACH AND EVERY Piracy screen

I personally really loved super paper mario on the wii! It was the first paper mario game to play like a traditional mario game! It had sidescrolling and platforming, but with a TON of rpg elements like leveling up, grabbing items, organizing your party, visiting towns! It took the basic formula of mario, a game about walking right and jumpging. but added just a little bit of variety to make it more in depth, even if it was just a little bit! Also, switching between 2D and 3D BLEW MY FREAKING MIND!! WOOO (This is a joke comment, everything above is copy pasted from one of connor’s old interactions with someone)

I personally prefer Paper Mario: The Origami King because it’s more 2d characters fighting 3d enemies in a 3d world, because it’s a switch game that’s easier to control than a Wii game, but at the cost of joycon drift, because it’s new, and because it’s at least slightly easier (in my opinion). In Super Paper Mario, I got stuck on 4-4 because it’s hard to navigate through the level, and Origami King is less creepier. Watching the world getting folded into origami is far less creepier than the end of the world.

Oh yeah that was my first Paper Mario game! They did a great job on its story but I kinda wish it played like a typical RPG/open-world game, I can only imagine the secrets that could be hidden in an open atmosphere where you'd have to switch dimensions

I don't think bubsy has an anti-piracy screen because no one would want to pirate it in the first place

Piracy is an objective moral good, because it allows access to those who can't afford, those who feel the need to try before they buy, dislike having terrible DRM (I'm looking at you, Denuvo), or can not even legally purchase a product in their region or point in time. Blessed be the seven seas!

baldi plus is actually a paid game now, and it actually does have anti-piracy measures in place: when you start a pirated copy, the game throws up a screen basically saying pirating is bad. it's based off the donkey kong country 2 anti-piracy screen

The Epyx Rogue game had an anti-piracy screen. If you copied the disk and played it, you were immediately jumped and killed. The next screen was a tombstone with the warning.

the thing is, im pretty sure both the dkc trilogy AND baldi's basics+ have real anti piracy screens, the baldi one even used the background from its anti piracy screen
