This is the most entertaining poker analysis I’ve seen in quite a while.
Please don’t hurt your brain trying to figure this one out. 😂🤣✌🏽 💸💸
Sometimes it happens that the hole cards shown at the stream are wrong. I think this is the most logical explanation for Nick's fold here.
Also, kudos. This is the best explanation I have seen for how the "exact" situation doesn't have to happen again to allow you to be exploited.
Think about this: if this dude actually had a flush and Nick folded, everybody in would be assuming that Nick is cheating in his own stream. People love to jump to conclusions based on incomplete information, as in Garret’s case
Superb video as always. And that outro 🤣🤣
😂 great video. And surprisingly diplomatic considering this hand 🤚
I think the real question is would Vertucci fold 54 of clubs here…

I've folded smaller flushes and been right. Then when I start calling rivers with baby flushes because I want to play GTO, I lose to a bigger flush and kick myself.

54cc is quite obviously far worse to call with than the AcK here; - so, I slightly doubt that he would fold it. ^^

Vertucci~ an ex-cop~ guarantees a "safe as a kitten" poker game and hires an ex-con who eventually gets caught stealing 5k chips..... nice work Nick... how about doing what you say your going to do? A background check is a great place to start.

Lol I'm almost certain he was "One of those" that disrespect the common tax paying citizen, would escalate situations due to ego, and even go as far as planting evidence to frame someone....
Nice analyis. Thanks for crediting me on that chart!
Nick’s being cursed by Garrets Innocence.
I saw a guy fold a King high flush face up on the turn vs. a check/raise all in for 50bbs, he was pretty certain the other guy had him beat. The other guy showed nut low flush, we were laughing about that fold for weeks after that.
Do you have a 650BB sim to model this with?
At least we know he can't see their cards haha
“Especially when your opponents smoke a lot of crack”
well done per usual
Great video! That was a tad nitty lol
If I could literally see that the dude had a flush I still couldn't fold that hand . Also, Hustler isn't going to let anyone play in that game that won't flat 10x trash.
*close up* "...and made him look like a fool." 🤣🤣🤣
3:21 airball CANNOT get stacked by rampage. You lose 10k to prevent it no matter what the solver says.
Its the live tell that confused him. To him it was more that he had it than a bluff But if he read closer, he would see its most likely a bluff Since nobody would stare you down like that with the goods
What do mean “horrendous bluff”? He had unblockers to the 🥜 🤣
I think I remember watching this live. You are giving Nick too much credit. He was drunk and on several bullets. He was thinking about his bad luck.
With the Ac in his hand, this fold is so egregiously terrible. Even if he's not bluffing that often, you still have outs.
Dark knight has a good fantasy
Uber nit or his bankroll is low. He's been on losing streak I believe. These folds are usually either just being gunshy, or funds are getting low.
Nit Vertucci
Dark Night had 14 Tequila Shots! Great Fold!!
my opponents in fact do smoke a lot of crack. thank you for this profoundly insightful video
is this short deck?
No. Some Euro guy on a show like 17-20 years ago folded a set on a no flush no straight board. Worst fold ever IMHO
How he folded that hand, lol. The guy has rhe nut straight whit the nut flush redraw and he just open folded it :(;
He's never bluffing in that spot. And when I say that spot I mean being Batman because Batman never lies.
this commentary is classic.
Please can you make your videos downloadable so that we can watch them offline..🙏🏾
They call him Nitucci for a reason.
Nitucci the COOOCHIE
Its a really good break down for a good player, however this dude isn't a good player and he was wasted I think Nick should have definatly taken this into consideration. Like 10 hands prior Dark Knight called an all in preflop for 8K with a 6/4 off. DK was also in a ton of pots showing crap all the time, with the ace of clubs redraw here I really have no idea how he makes this fold against this player....total nit.
he folded for balance
THIS IS CALLING ACTING SO HUSTLER IS ACTING LIKE THE J4 HAND AGAINST GARRETT WAS NOT AN INSIDE SCAM
I don't study gto but if you bet there you have to call a raise. Safest thing to do is to check though and call river...says my non gto training. Does gto agree with this or no way?

As much as I hate the guy, he’s getting too much crap for this fold. The A of clubs is a horrible card to call off with here, it blocks all the natural bluffs. It’s a call for sure, but there’s so many worse folds out there.

Only folding the nuts can be worse than this.
its not NIT .. he just.... isnt good enough to read opponent with nut blocker in his hand ...maybe he needs to seat at 1/3 or 2/5 table and he might be losing player .... i bet he couldnt beat 10NL online for sure

To be fair, Nick's bad fold here is not so much evidence of the pitfalls of exploitative play or the benefits of gto, but rather that good strategies (exploitative or otherwise) are hard to employ. Plus the "hero complex" is real (namely people would get out of their way to make big calls/big folds just because... reasons)

I don’t think that gto vs exploitative is even relevant here, that fold is just fucking atrocious no matter what your strategy looks like.
Nick vertucci is a very bad poker player. Also trying to analyze a hand from HCL is an exercise in futility. This is reality tv show and should not be used as a tool on how to play poker correctly.
Unconsciously or otherwise, this is offensively racist, characterizing the Black player as stupid and a crack user. Take it down.
Having a baseline for when you have no information on an opponent is great, but you can just check your HUD for population tendencies which are basically that they call too much and bluff too little. For that reason just overfolding in this spot makes sense, unless you saw him drink 13 margaritas 😂
They don't call him Nit Vertucci for nothing.
