The Worst Enemy in Every Souls Game (Including Elden Ring)
Ойындар
Today, we're talking about the worst/most annoying enemy from each of the souls games by FromSoftware. This includes Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. I wanted to list the worst enemy from each game and what I disliked about them because they all have unique moves and other mechanics that set them apart from each other.

the ones at the bottom of the haligtree brace are so infuriating. Not only do they have a teleport they can do on react to your heals, they have a one hit kill combo, insane speed and aggression, constantly run in and out of combat, a lot of health, and cant really be cheesed there because they only spawn in when you hit the ground. Definitely agree! Crucible knights are actually really well-designed and pretty fun to fight imo (especially the spear ones), my biggest problems with them is that you can't stun them at all. But revenants really fucking suck, they're way more mobile than they should be since they only show up in places you can't summon torrent, they do a million attacks at once, they can teleport behind you, and they can poison you. The worst thing about them is that they rarely show up alone; if you find one revenant then there's likely going to be another one right around the corner too

The birds in elden ring weren't much of a problem for me since I used a medium shield melee build. All I had to do was wait for their attack, which would get blocked, and melee them while they're staggered. Although, I know a lot of people like to play without shields so I can understand how they can be annoying lol
Very enjoyable video, though I have to disagree on the Crucible Knights : yes, you can't stagger them and they often punish you for healing, but their design is awesome, their moveset is pretty consistent and predictable, and once you get the timing right to dodge their attacks, they are amongst the most enjoyable ennemies in the game. ALSO : No Runebears ? No Revenants ? Those were by far the most frustrating ennemies for me. Tell me in the comments if you agree guys !

Crucible Knights can be staggered with certain attacks. Off the top of my head, I know that Lion's Claw and Taker's Flames will make them flinch every time you hit them. Of course, I didn't know that when I was new at the game, but they were still fun to fight and learn their moves. Nowadays, on a fresh NG, I always run straight to Castle Morne and grab the Claymore, since Lion's Claw is my favorite AoW and it has that move by default. So I end up always having that on hand right from the beginning of the game to help me deal with any Crucible Knights I come across.
I love how the run to Pinwheel is WAYYY harder than the actual fight
I agree with most of the enemies you have chosen but dear god, the Winter Lanturns in Bloodborne are a pain in the ass. Every time I hear their voice I am just running for my live and hope 😂
I’m going to disagree with your last one. Crucible knights are a lot of fun to me. They’re hard at first, but they become an easy enemy once you learn their patterns. They’re one of the few enemies in the game with a reasonable moveset that I mastered. Parrying them is a lot of fun. To get a heal off. Start running back and when he does the forward stab dodge back if necessary. Then you can get a heal. The enemy is hard and they try to bait out your heals. I think challenging is a better term for them than annoying. Again, parrying them is fun/ learning their moveset, which wasn’t too hard for me. Awesome video as always. Just a difference in opinion. I hate those birds too. I agreed with the other choices too.

I repeated the main path using bonfire ascetics until I was able to do it without dying. When I was ready and started the run, it was extremely stressful. I almost throw up my heart doing the jump in the pit to reach the gutter. Remember the mini drake keeper in Drangleic? The bastard actually killed me, but tears of denial kept me alive both in game and in real life lol. I even went to fight the throne watcher and defender right after getting the king's ring because they were the last real threat in the game, but when they finally fell, it was just a matter of not doing something stupid for the rest of the run. And I actually finish it. The ending was like happy souls with Nashandra getting lightning to her face. I even put happy souls music for the rest of the day.

To be fair the crucible knight is actually a teaching tool for the game. It teaches you that not every enemy can be staggered or traded with and you will at some points you will have to dodge unrelenting attacks without healing. It’s a test of endurance as a prelude to tougher enemies you fight later in the game.
For Elden ring imo it’s between the Giant Blood crows (area before Mohg) and the Giant Lobsters. The Caelid crows were manageable at best but damn I got my assed kicked beyond belief in the later game off them
@kennethbryant5819
Жыл бұрын
The Lobsters really suffer from being up in its face which is why it's always trying to get away from you. If you can dodge its claws and stay on them, you really can't lose. Trying to get into a shoot out with it is where they can mess you up. With the Mogh crows, jumping attacks are its worst enemy especially when its crawling around. And don't fall for that critical hit fakeout.
I would like to add the little dwarf assassins for Sekiro and the hands for Elden Ring. They pretty much check every box you listed for annoying enemies: they come in numbers, spam attacks with unpredictable animations that can stunlock you and have a surprising amount of health.
for bloodborne lots of people mentioned winter lanterns but i think the worst is those massive shark guys in the fishing hamlet. fighting two of them for the Rakuyo is brutal.
Crucible knights taught me never to heal while an enemy/boss is in neutral. I'm 80% sure they input read, and run you down the second you pick the flask.

I think the basilisks are a really good contender for ds1, since if you get cursed you lose half your health on every respawn until you cure it, and the cures are very hard to come by. On top of that in older versions curses could stack, meaning you could be left with 1/16 of your max health if you got cursed enough
Crucible knights become pretty trivial when you get the counter down, and the eagles are easily dispatched by a guard counter. The invisible assassins are the worst. Grab you out of nowhere and force you to offhand a torch just to be able to see them.
9:10 wait, are you saying you don’t roll whenever they go for an attack (even if you know it won’t hit you)

Crucible knights are really fun once I learned the parry timing. The birds really only get better when you have enough damage to burst them in a few hits, for some reason you can’t riposte them when they fall on the floor.

They are stylish and just absolutely fun every time I find one!
For Bloodborne (my specialty) I strongly disagree. The bodysnatchers aren’t horrible, as they have low poise and their transformation lets you get in massive damage, potentially killing them. The worst enemy would probably be the Winter Lanterns, with obscene health and major frenzy aura, or the Brainsuckers, because what you forget is that they permanently drain your Insight, which is only infinite if you’re willing to grind Chalice Dungeons
Wow you are such a great KZreadr! So glad I found you!!!
I don’t hate crucible knights, but fighting them isn’t really engaging, it’s just wait for them to attack so you can hit them once or twice and repeat for 2 minutes or just repeatedly parry them over and over and that gets mundane. If you asked me on my first playthrough what the worst enemy was I would’ve undoubtedly said revenants, BUT now, I actually kinda like revenants, I’ve gotten so much better at fighting them and I can appreciate them way more now. Imo the worst enemy in ER is the invisible black knife assassin, who ever thought an invisible enemy that just repeatedly spams grabs over and over again was fun should be suspended without pay, it’s one of the few enemies in soulsborne that I would actually classify as truly bullshit
You can actually stagger the crucible knights in Elden Ring. I've done it before to the evergaol one in Stormhill. I think I just got lucky though because it requires an extreme amount of aggression that 99% of the time, they simply won't allow you to have.
The sharks in bloodborne are my nemesis, for me, getting rakuyo for the platinum was almost as bad as the entirety of the chalice grinding and is several hours of my life I will never get back
Nahh, your outros are class. Keep it up!
I love the Snatchers, they are just Bloodbornes version of Santa.
Honorable Mention for Elden Ring: Those Big Ice People in the Ruins on Mountain of Giants
For fighting crucible knights I recommend light rolling as you can get better distance between them, and it'll be generally easier to roll their attacks. Use a greatsword or a weapon with some kind of ranged weapon art and they are not that difficult.
Love your videos. Keep up the good work

Thanks :)
Love your videos lol always fun :D
What sword is he using to fight the Crucible Knight at the end?
I'm surprised the Winter Lanterns, Bell Maidens in the chalice dungeons, or the "Land Sharks" in fishing hamlet weren't mentioned for the Bloodborne portion of the video
Crucible knights are one of my favorite enemies to fight ever, they're so telegraphed, well designed and it feels so satisfying to learn their pattern, becomes like a dance. The birds defenitely takes the cake for me, not explenation's needed.
Those blood dogs are a nightmare. 2-3 hits and you're running to get your runes back.
That Riley Reid comparison was WILD 💀
With the body snatchers in bb you just need to be fast at side stepping and punishing when they do their power up thing
In DS1 IMO, along with bonewheels, ofc, the crown is shared by dogs, ghosts from New Londo and torch hollows. Last ones are especially obnoxious when they run to you, thrashing and swinging their torch around, stunlocking you right away.
Some other honorable mentions for the games i played: Dark souls: the giant skeleton dogs were the first most annoying enemy that came into mind, the ''running'' attack with their jaw can most of the time one shot you. Another one in dark souls is the demon with the lightning spear and the small wings, they are somewhat easy to kill but they are super annoying when they start dodging and flying. Dark souls 2: About the reindeers in the worst zone ever made, the trick is too have a big bonk weapon and R2 them, they always stagger and you can just smash them to death. The most annoying is the invader that runs away... not an enemy but good damn it sucks. Maldron the name? Otherwise the one i hate the most is the pretty rare one called undead aberration, for the love of me i cant read that enemy attacks. Honorable mention to the pyromancer in earthen peek, simply because they can be super dangerous while being somewhat very squishy. Dark souls 3: So many tbh. I always had mixed feeling about ds3 for many reasons, this is one of them. Everything mentionned in the video and i would add corvian enemy in ashes of ariandel dlc... If you dont stagger them first they can be very very very annoying. The hand monstrosity, though being in one very spot their grab attacks just deals too much damage. The 2 hand sword cathedral knight, with the proper build they are not that bad but they dont tend to leave enough opening for punishing, you end up trading blows with them mostly. Sekiro: Spot on. I feel like they were meant to be air deathblow but it is not even easy to pull off... Elden ring: People mentionned it, the revenant and the birds. Something about the enemies that keeps getting away is very annoying. Like the dragons sometimes too, they are pretty easy to punish but it is frustating when they get in a loop of flying around. Great video! Keep it up!
Some other contenders: (Didn't play demon's souls yet) DS 1: The little dudes in Blighttown shooting toxic blow darts at you DS 2: DLC giants with massive maces and lava that periodically falls from their shoulders, who also don't stagger. Ever; the exploding hollows where some can even petrify Bloodborne: Winter Lantern; the summons in and before the fight with the witches of hemwick; the giants that throw instant-kill boulders at you, where even the debris still counts as a hit; in the dungeons, those ultra-fast and aggressive scythe wielding women who will sprint at you at breakneck velocity DS 3: Dogs Sekiro: The enemies with the twin blades before you fight the 4 monkeys; this one specific dude in the fountainhead palace that has a personal issue with you swimming; also the nobles that enfeeble Elden Ring: the 50-armed screaming abomination that thinks spam attacks are mandatory; albinauric archers in the consecrated snowfields; giants who can use unendurable frenzy in an inappropriately large area around them (also consecrated snowfields); pests; those ballista operators in Miquella's Haligtree; lobsters; the small stone gargoyles in the dungeons; wormface
Demon’s Souls - *those* skeletons Dark Souls - Zombie dragon legs (or whatever those fuckin things are meant to be) Dark Souls 2 - reindeer in frigid outskirts Dark Souls 3 - Jailer Elden Ring - misbegotten
Bro this outro is top tier 🤣👌 Also great video.

Thanks man ⚔️🤣
I know this is random, but i noticed that Seluvia's Crucible helm has primordial horns, almost looking like a tree... And Ordovis' Crucible helm has 3 individual scallops on it. One on each side, and 1 in the back. Almost mimicking the 3 fingers, which are the sworn enemy of the erdtree and the Order. It might be nothing, but it is interesting to me that they're both Crucible Knights, and their Helms look like the Erdtree, and the main thing trying to destroy it. Even more so, when i noticed the Knight protecting Rykards' Bae, in the blasphemous volcano manor, has the "3 fingers" looking helm like Ordovis,
Bro, that was a dope-ass outro. 10/10 would watch again.

Bonewheel Skeletons also appear in DS2 during the Skeleton Lords boss fight. And speaking of DS2, you can summon NPCs to deal with the Frozen Reindeers while you progress so my vote would go to the Iron Warriors - huge damage and that damn lava spill trends to stun you while you try to dodge letting you open to get a lot of attacks without being able to react - even with high Agility and Poise.
Crucible Knights are hard but i don't think that they are that annoying. I think that the birds are worse than them. The dogs and rats are also more annoying if they manage to gang up on you. But the enemies that i do avoid as much as i can are the Rune Bears.
I'm surprised the toxic blow dart hollows in Blighttown didn't even get an honorable mention
Hope you do best enemies in every souls game next video
LOVE your outros. Never change.

Never changing ✅
No mention of the Basilisks? Aside from the way they curse you in Dark Souls, or the way they hop around on you and skitter in Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring, I just find those things so unnerving. Also the Revenants in Elden Ring are one of the few enemy types I just straight up run like hell from.
Kind of odd how the Shark Men from the Bloodborne Fishing Hamlet and the Royal Revenant from Elden Ring didn't even make it on the list, both are contender for most absurd enemy in the entire series.
It's definitely possible to heal against the Crucible Knights but you have to be ridiculously careful going about it, cause they read that input as soon as you've pressed it, CK is gonna be chasing you down double speed. What I think is the most annoying about them is simply that they are more or less impossible to flinch, you can stagger them for a riposte but that's very difficult since getting consecutive hits on something that seemingly never runs out of stamina and doesn't flinch when you smack even the heaviest of swords across their faces is pretty difficult to say the least. CK's were one of the reasons I stopped using the Zweihander and other UGS like it during my first playthrough when the game just released. UGS were just too slow to get hits in between dodging an attack and trying to counter it.
Yea, the reindeers from the Frozen Outskirts are a mess, so it’s best to just cheese them with a great club. Using R2 charged, you’ll pancake them every hit and combined with the capable NPC summons in the Scholar Edition, they make this area a lot less of a chore to get through. Still wise to take your time though, so as you don’t spawn too many to handle at a time.
Actually the wheel skeleton did appear in darksouls 2 I believe it was in the skeleton lords bossfight as one of the many skeleton minons that appear during the fight
Everyone's all "Revenant revenant revenant" but nobody's talking about the fcking HANDS
Could you tell me what the weapon at 8.07 is?
