Ofc you think that. The media wouldn’t let you believe anything else. Truth is, as a Dallas fan, we probably talk more shit about our team than others do. Jerry is a 🤡, dak is never going to get anything accomplished and is already on the decline. Until dak is replaced and Jerry jones is gone, Dallas won’t be winning a Super Bowl. I know that, we all know that. Only the media doesn’t pretends to not know. If only we could’ve had great defenses and Olines with Romo.

Final Verdict was perhaps my favorite sports segment purely for the aspect of Rece Davis acting as judge.

This show was great, the Golden Days of ESPN. Sad how things have fallen off so much

ESPN was much better before all the debate shows were created in the early 2000s. The most debate you used to get back in the day would be Corso and Herbstreit arguing on College Gameday. Gen Z doesn't understand.

You are correct. I thought at the time that they didn’t know what they were talking about, but man it’s never been the same since they left.

I remember when ND lost two or three games at the start of the season, and Lou said that if they lost another one, they might not make the BCS Championship.

Lou was the biggest hater of the 2010 Auburn team. I remember him picking us to lose like almost every week💀

Lou Holtz was hysterical and was in on the joke the entire time. These two guys were great.

Dude, 2015? Yeah. That feels like yesterday because I graduated high school in 2000. I still feel like the year 2003 was just a little while ago but it was _two decades ago._ I remember these guys vividly. They were hilarious. Lou always played second fiddle to Lee Corso. But anyone is better than having to listen to Gary Danielson.

I'm an '04 graduate, and I know just what you mean... only in the past few years did the nineties stop feeling like ten years ago.

This was a fantastic show. I looked forward to this every Sunday. Seeing mark and lou battle each other was awesome.

This show RULED, it was back before the BCS and playoff had proved that the SEC was basically on another level. and these guys would sell you on some random team and you would legit believe that a flukey upstart was the best team in the country

SEC was just getting its brains beat in (USC 4-0 vs SEC) because population changes had not happened yet and SEC commish got conf together to stop snitching on one another so NCAA wouldn’t care that they were cheating.

This show was an absolute gem

Holtz and May were entertaining.

One of the dumbest comments I remember Mark May saying was after Urban Meyer’s first game in 2012 against Miami(OH. Miami went down and got a field goal to go up 3-0. Ohio State then scored 56 straight points till Miami scored again. When discussing Ohio State’s performance that might on Final Verdict, Mark May rambled on about how Ohio State had to come from behind to win lol

Loved watching these guys. Mark May was brutally honest, which was refreshing. Coach Holtz would just ramble about and May would either get bug eyed or start looking around like he was hearing spirits calling him. ESPN was stupid for not keeping this team together.

I completely disagree with this. They were two of my favorites, especially College Football Final with the trial segment.

It was awesome that Mark May had one of the only rational (and accurate) predictions of the 2012 national championship.

These two were so great! I miss it as well

Say what you want, but back when you saw these guys together on TV, it was back when ESPN was an actual sports network.

Maye was good on tv. Holtz was brutal and the blatant bias for a mid notre dame was infuriating at times

I was always entertained by them! I remember when I first noticed I wasn't seeing them around anymore, ESPN never quite felt right after that.

They were there to entertain and did that. Holtz was a very good coach at getting a lot out of limited talent. May was a very smart interior lineman. But yes, their biases could be nauseating. But I miss these days.

I share your sentiment. Looking back, I liked the continuity of seeing them every week during College football season despite my feeling that the show was a rambling and, often, incoherent mess.

Rece, Lou, and Mark chemistry was perfection and that’s what made CFB Final so fun and awesome to watch.

WHAT!!! This show was wayyyy better than college game day now!!!! At least they gave real opinions and didn’t love every team. Game day is too PC now

It was awesome watching these two dudes go after each other. When woke espn was entertaining love seeing Lou and Mark go back and fourth arguments having debates. Now woke espn is just nothing more than woke cancel culture

These two were the best. I miss them so much. They made college football Saturdays so much better. Since they left I don’t watch any pre or post game show

Mark May had some of the worse takes of all time

Not so fast my friend! When I was in college at Alabama we would stay up after the games to watch College Football Final. Lou Holtz, Mark May, and Reese Davis were awesome.

This was the Golden Age of college football shows. I think you're too young to realize this show was gold.

And Mark May really hates Georgia now 😂

ESPN is terrible now. They have gotten rid of great veteran commentators like Suzy Kolber, Rachel Nichols and Steve Young just to keep hiring employees to “fit” a certain demographic. RG3 and Kendrick Perkins have made so many racist remarks they would have been fired if they weren’t black. I recommend boycotting ESPN and Disney, there are PLENTY of other ways and channels to watch your sports programming.

Ayo!! I remember watching them back in them days..They were like always the main crew for CFB on ESPN/ABC and yes sometimes they gave some good reviews, then most o the time it was kinda like flying it until the show ended. Most of the time, it was Coach Lou Holtz always trying to bring Notre Dame back saying this and saying that like they are better than a lot of teams. Then Mark May always dissing teams and trying to escalate and provoke Lou Holtz on the show. It was okay to watch, its more because there wasn't much other options to watch at the moment.

It was on at like midnight, it was a fun unwind from the day of college football

Not only was the show the best but that Era of college football was awesome. No super teams

Lou and Mark were great together and Reece moderating was amazing. Helmet stickers at the end of the show was fantastic.

I respected the fact that he is being too had two former players and former coaches in college football being part of that particular show but it was so boring to watch every week they were always pick their favorite teams and they will never unbiased about their opinions about college football and also you can't be a biased fan while you were broadcasting games for national tv networks.
