500 year old English oak? That is how far back in time one could go and still be able to understand them.
I just received my Hand Tool Rescue large screwdriver. It is magnificent and large enough to move Planet Earth.
You need a screwdriver to make a screwdriver. Love that
This is so nice! Well done!

Thanks man. Looking forward to the next one!
I never did think that I could lust after a screwdriver.
Just know that my 15 month old son watches these with me often times longer than he watches his cartoons. Maybe we have a future woodworker you're inspiring.
These screwdrivers are awesome! I will continue to buy every tool Eric makes!
I ordered the 'impractical' larger one because it happens to perfectly fit the king bolt slots on most radial arm saws (I have 5). I do have to avoid the temptation of whacking things with it, as it is a hefty tool that just screams, 'come on, just let me smash that thing a different tool would be more appropriate for, it'll be fine'

Kevin Delgado , you have 5 radial arm saws ? What kind ? And what models ?

@@c.blakerockhart1128 3 DeWalts (2 MBC, 1 GWI) 2 Deltas (Super 990, 40C). The Super 990 I have fully restored, the others are waiting in the queue, But all have been at least partially disassembled when I inspected them for condition.

@@kevin_delgado Do you get them locally ? Or do you get them from eBay ? I have a 1975 craftsman 10". I am hoping to be able to find a 12" ras, with a 1" arbor. I HAD a table saw that kicked back a 29.5" 2×4 into my forehead. My ras was sitting in the corner waiting for restoration, after the "Incident" I sold the DeWalt 746 and set up my ras. I got a GREAT DEAL on 12 12" blades, (not for the DeWalt) so I bought them. I still don't have anything that they will fit. Have you tried the laser sight for the ras? It is AWESOME ! Where you put the line, is where it cuts. Thanks for your reply. 😎🇺🇸

@@c.blakerockhart1128 Mine were all local purchases. Shipping costs for these things (the 40C weighs 475 pounds) would be more than I paid for them. I would stick with pre-1970's RAS, and even then I would probably avoid the Craftsman models, they were never built as well as DeWalt, Delta, Comet, etc. Check the size of the arbor hole on those blades, I'm assuming they're 1" arbor so that will mean you're limited to the larger 'industrial' RAS like my 40C, or a DeWalt GE, etc.

@@kevin_delgado Yeah they are 1" Arbor. I agree on the pre 70s but I got mine for $50. So 1975 craftsman it is. I've already torn it down and made all necessary adjustments and "tweeks" to make it DEAD ACCURATE. Replaced carriage bearings with REAL bearings. I have 9 feet of infeed table, and 9.5 feet of outfeed. If I need more on either side, I have small doors on either wall to pass material through. There is also 2 feet between the infeed/ outfeed tables and the walls. Not that I ever expect to cut anything that long, but you never know. Have A BLESSED DAY.😎
I've got one of the old german screwdrivers like this with a broken handle, this reminds me I really do need to repair it.
Amazing looking screwdriver, James! Really nicely done!!! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
2 thumbs up! At first I was wondering just what is he doing? Loved it! You don't see this sort of thing on YT anymore. Thanks. Oh by the way, I took your advice (and study) on chisels and went ahead and bought the Norex-Richter set. I'll be happy to give you my impression in a week or two (after they arrive and sharpened). Thanks again.
Very good
Yes, I like them both
Nice! I'm glad he made a regular sized version. Have you ever done a video on your rasp and files? I really only have a few but would like to do more things like what you did here. Not sure how to progress through the 'grits' to get there. I keep looking at those narex hand cut nib jobbers but unsure which to buy, where sandpaper takes over etc.

@@WoodByWright Thanks. I keep forgetting about the second channel you have. So I subscribed! I've had my eye on those hand cut narex for awhile now. I may as well go for it...
Hello there, I have a question. What type of wood did you use here? Edit: 7:49 - 500 years old oak 👌 Nicely done, cheers from Poland 🍻
I want one of those bad boys...
what was that strange double chisel thing you used to cut the pattern out of the sheet of paper

They are sold by Hand tool rescue. www.handtoolrescue.com/
So… 500-year-old oak… that means that the tree was probably planted somewhen in the 1300s 🤯
👍👍👍👍
😎😀👍
I don't think the title is supposed to say Prefect
Ok - you did a phenomenal job .... but, there is no room in this video for a man wearing daisy dukes my friend! It’s BLASPHEMY! Lol
