His comments about America in the late 50's are spot on. Sexual revolution and CounterCulture were largely a response to ignoring the collective unconscious and not tending to the shadows within our psyche. We are far from perfect beings and author our own lives as we strive for completeness. It's a tough journey full of fits and starts; successes and failures.
