Pretty much yes. Whenever an armwrestling video gets trending armchair experts jump the gun and start saying shit like "oh it's all in the technique, he's toprolling, he's using bodyweight" etc. When in reality, armwrestlers are actually, genuinely strong as shit. Their forearms, biceps and triceps are all conditioned to output as much power as possible. It is not all technique. You can be most technical person in the world and still get your ass kicked against a strong armwrestler. Case in point, Devon Larratt vs Denis Cyplenkov.

Arm wrestling has been around for decades and Denis can crush walnuts with just his two fingers 😎💪🏻💪🏻 Denis has been dominating for years. He’s unbelievable, a real life hulk. It’s really sad about his medical situation and surgery that happened recently before the rest of the world got to see his legendary feats and physique. He lost a lot of his size and strength. But second to no one in bicep strength in his prime. Hope you can come back to it Denis, total respect ✊🏻 💪🏻💪🏻

Cyplenkov explains that through incorrect, high intensity training, he ruptured blood vessels that lead to his kidneys, leading to hemorrhaging and stents being surgically put in, to keep the blood flowing properly into his kidneys. He is not medically cleared to resume serious training and has lost a lot of muscle mass from his medical issues and treatments. Cyplenkov claims this also led to Neuritis, which paralyzed half his face.

Im currently at 180 lb strict curls and i was doing 10 reps(sometimes a few less depending on how i felt that day).. dont know what my max curl would be but one day when the gyms open again ill try to figure it out...I would normally do it 3 days a week but after a while(6 months or so) my wrists and shoulders where in alot of pain constantly. Im 44 now so i guess im starting to fall apart.. Now im just training lighter but high reps. That heavy ass weight does damage. My fingers, wrists pretty much everything.(my pec once) Maybe i need to add glucosamine to my excessive pile of vitamin substances i injest every day.
