Probably somebody already told you this: you can try to make leads for the bios chip so that you don't have to take the cooler off to flash the bios. Furthermore, I strapped an old AMD cooler to a new AMD cpu with two loops of copper wire and two tie wraps, and it is totally how people should make use of their old AMD coolers. If you make an A shape in the wire the cooler stays centered too. Thanks a lot for your videos!

I know this is an old post, but even if you do take the cooler off to flash bios, you don't need to put it back on if you're just testing to see if the card puts out a good signal. It doesn't take long to tell if it does or not, once you see artifacting just cut the power and flash another bios

Then you just need to flash the one that works after finding it already. Could setup some level of automation to help speed things up as well.

Part of the bios flash issue is finding the bios that supports the right vram modules. Different gpu vendors use different memory modules so if you have a card that has elpida chips you need to find a bios that supports elpida. Thats part one, then you need to guess and check which of those bios use the same memory timings of those memory modules. And to avoid using these bios chip clamps if you use an old version of nvflash, which you can find on ltt old video how to flash a gtx 465 to a 470, you can erase eeprom through that nvflash version then reflash the proper bios. This is how i flashed a gtx 470 that was flashed into a quadro 5000 back to a 470

I think matching the VRAM in the BIOS is very important. I actually got 2 real 1GB GDDR5 FE nVIDIA GTS450's. Even got the SLi bridges for the AsRock Z77 Extreme 4, eVGA 680i SLi and Z370 Aorus Gaming 7. Games of that era actually run quite well. Sniper Elite 3 and 4 along with some others. Ashes of the Benchmark is a pretty cool Game/Benchmark. You can even run a nVIDIA, AMD and intel iGPU in Tri-X-SLintel.

loving this vid..... I had two gtx970 in SLI, it was funny 2 years... also to force Sli thru Nvidia Inspector sw for games that dont have its own sli profile in nv drivers (for short, using sli-bits code from game using same/similar engine)

mostly it was 50-60% FPS boost in performance, sometimes the gpu usage was only divided between 2 cards (f.e. 94% into 2x 47%) and ran in slightly better temps

You remind me of another KZreadr in terms of your personality, enthusiasm and the way you present the video. You have massive potential and I feel you are underrated at the moment. If your channel was a stock on the market, Id be buying you up by the millions cos you're gonna be 500k in no time. You need to add more of a "personal" tweek to the editing and presentation or on the line up to a potentially funny line or segment. You're outlandish ideas remind me of LinusTechTips, keep doing things like this now and again to catch peoples attention.
