I have an old road bike that comes in just under 10kg and that was after upgrading every component except the headset and fork. It felt like a victory getting it that light. This bike is a work of art while also being practical. Not sure how comfy that saddle would be for a long haul, but everything else is fit for everyday use. The frame/fork/wheelset customization and paint are next level detail. Well done, Oleg. I'm going to have to check out his channel.

I zlove these kind of mods. I have a 2020 trek crockett, I have a notch in the top of the steer tube to route the front brake through the stem, down the steer tube into the fork. The east part was punching through the internal sleeve for the official routing. I’m. It brave enough to take on hiding the rear brake. Maybe if I got that fork…

I would love it if you could do a build with adding extra hydraulic sub brake levers on the tops (e.g. shimano BL RX 812) Going past parked cars with my hands on the tops feels like a deadly gamble. It would also be nice being able to go down a mild slope at a constant speed. It would be great to know if said brakes are worth doing to make the tops more useable in urban environment. Theres a lack of info on them on the youtube, my local bike shop said they would maybe be bad a wreck my brakes but didn't have a source for why they bad. Any info, possitive or negative, would be much appeciated. (If you do the build will love yous forever)

The deda fork is tapered to allow the rear brake hose to be fed down the front and around the side into the down tube from where it follows the usual routing.

My metal (Ti) Lynskey Helix OS with all mechanical Dura-Ace rim brake 9100 is 7.6kg with its fast wheels on (DT240 hub/DT Aerolite spokes,/Advance composites 40mm rims) , including bottle cages (King Cage Ti) and Time Xpro 10 (cro-moly spindle) pedals. Aluminium (Fizik) bar, stem & seatpost. It even has a Brooks C13 saddle to boat anchor it some more. But do I weigh 90kg (only ever down to 84 at my thinnest), so any more weight savings are irrelevant. & I can ride it (slowly-ish) for 150km without significant pain, or worry when I go over every bit of rough pavement. Having a bike that is 10% of your body weight is a good thing to aim for, as a wise old cyclist once told me, and I've cleared that hurdle with daylight beneath me. Heck, even my wet weather/commuter bike scrapes over it. & our man Oleg don't look like no Yates brother. But then he is a self-confessed weight weenie. To what purpose, it must be wondered.

I have light bicycle rims with no holes, it’s nice I never have to change tape if it gets geeked up, but they really just built the wheel and then added another strip of carbon over the holes, it’s not UST style it never had holes.

Some one have done a Sub 4kg road bicycle ... it could be epic to review it. A diference is in the transmission, the other has much lighter group set, easy 400gr less, the casette could save many grams with a aluminium soul kozak (no more into production) but last nothing. The RD was a carbon custom modified and was amazing etc etc 😵 And tre was a MTB in 5kg with suspension fork etc. So the weight weenie world is amazing.
