I highly doubt I will make it to 2100 unless I’m luck, I was born in 2008 and I’m more likely to die in the 2090s, I’m guessing 2100 is max. Right now it’s nearly impossible to predict exactly what 2100 will look like until we’re actually there but whatever it is it will be crazy futuristic

It’s possible that a few people that are here now will be here in 2100. A 10 year old watching in 2024 would be 86 in the year 2100.

This is the world by 2100 assuming we have unlimited energy and mineral resources --- which we don't.

think about this for a second: 2100 is 77 years away, in the grand scheme of things that's not a very long time, however: 77 years ago was 1946 and I don't think anybody in 1946 could have imagined what the world looks like today.

Research into what can be related to artificial intelligence began as early as the 1930s; in the year of 1951, Christopher Strachey wrote one of the earliest AI programs, which was successful. Much of these technologies that exist today already existed half a century (or more) ago (computers, cars, airplanes, early ai, etc.); some more advanced than others. I have no doubt that we will have newer advanced technologies, but they will not be as advanced as extreme optimists are presenting them to be.

I heard that they already have the arms that is connected to the brain already, and the sensor in the fingertips of the hand to let you know to be soft or gentle with the object

There are too many problems for cars to be fully autonomous. I will give you just one example. You are driving north to a 4 way intersection up to a yellow light that is going to turn red before you get there. You can also see a large west bound semi tractor trailer truck that is currently stopped but you know will probably be turning left (south) because there is a truck terminal near by. I would know to hang back a little bit to give that truck some room to turn. Would an autonomous driving system have the intuition to do the same? There are so many subtle nuances in driving that autonomous cars can only aid in driving but never completely take over.

I want traditional rail trains.

Nothing here that the world needs

One of the things that most techies seem to miss is that humans are inextricably interconnected to the ecosystem and totally dependent upon it for our life-support. Even our own bodies are ecosystems. These biological organisms literally create all the water, food, air, etc. that we breathe, help us to derive energy and sustenance from it and recycle the wastes that we produce. Therefore, a system that converts living things into dead things is both illogical and suicidal. Better to put all this industrial junk deep under the surface of the planet or in outer space. Creating non-living material things takes resources away from living things. To create these things requires the use of resources that are not currently being used to support the biology of the planet.
