The Woods and Waters of Wolfe's Neck State Park in Maine | Midcoast, Cold Weather Hiking
Even in off season, Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park in Midcoast Maine is absolutely wonderful for a walk. There are spaces to park outside the gate along the road whenever the gate is closed during certain times of year. You can connect so many of their trails to make a longer hike out of the day. I recommend picking up something to eat in nearby Freeport and enjoying it out on one of the many ocean lookout areas. You can also head into Freeport after your hike and enjoy something once you build up that hiker hunger. Derosier's is definitely a fave for a sandwich and soup on a cold day in Maine :) The Flagship LL Bean store is also in Freeport in case you need some extra layers or equipment before you head out! I did these trails in early spring, snow still on the ground, and I can't wait to do them in winter as well. It's a ground year round destination.

Wow! Wolfe's Neck State Park looks incredible. I love the views of the water and all the amazing rocks along the shore. You chose another beautiful day. It is so nice to see the reflection of the sun in the water. The beach is wonderful. It is so nice to see the waves lapping on the shore. I love the trails. They all look so nice. I really enjoyed seeing all of the streams and running water. It makes for some soothing sounds. Thank you for sharing another one of your adventures, my friend. 😊✨✨

Sadly not on this hike! I heard some birds and think there was one squirrel, this was a quiet one
