The Wood Splitter In Action

This patent-pending SideTool Wood Splitter is an all-mechanical system that utilizes the existing hydraulics of the mini-excavator and attaches to the thumb. Hard wood, knotty wood - any wood up to 30-inch rounds is so easy now, plus you can pick them up and pile them in a neat stack- not possible with other hydraulic log splitters. Call now at (253) 720-1678 or sidetool.com. 2-year warranty exceeds industry standards. 100% made in the USA.

Big rounds have always been a pain for me move and to split. This sure makes it easy. I'd still keep my regular splitter for the smaller easy to handle stuff. No need for a 40hp diesel to run all day splitting the same stuff my 6hp would do

I would love to see a video of someone splitting 24” long blocks. I am very interested in one but every video shows 12” blocks.

Search “backhoe log splitter” or similar by Donn DIY. He built one that can fit and split a 24” round

How long of pieces can you split with that?

Why would you split the wood then go back and forth with each piece? I would take the blocked wood over to the pile and split it there

Definitely not slow or costly. Runs about 6 cords a day, and that's 40 bucks in fuel in my mini where I'm at. Initial investment is friendly as well, so long as you have an excavator. Check out side tool that's the company name.
