The class 44 with its three cylinders - it is simply THE German steam freight locomotive. No other series is associated with heavy freight trains like this powerhouse. From September 26th to 28th, the Nördlinger 44 2546-8 (Bavarian Railway Museum) was once again able to show what it still has today. As part of the Plandampf "Heavy goods traffic through the ages", it pulled two wooden trains from Nördlingen to Wilburgstetten.
