So glad Wizarding Trunk got the colours right as well as having an Eagle instead of a Raven. As a Ravenclaw I really appreciate that they made the effort to get it right.

Agreed! This is awesome! I had to settle for the movie ones of silver and blue instead of bronze and blue for my scarf, headband, and hair ribbon. The only thing i own with the right color and mascot is a necklace ravenclaw key. I wan everything in that box. So cool. The rings my favorite

I was SO happy to see they picked the book authentic colors! I love the house keys! I want to get all of them.

You did a much better job of showing the items than anyone else, I watched yours specifically to see the key better than the other video, which held it up by the bottom part. I'm loving this box along with you Mel (albeit 7 months late, as I have just discovered that I too am a Ravenclaw). The abundance of "movie-accurate replicas" with the raven and the silver is baffling and annoyingly inaccurate (for a house known for it's exacting intelligence), so it's quite refreshing to see a box that is so accurate. I believe that the notepad still has the raven on it's watermark, but aside from that, I would PROUDLY wear and display EVERYTHING in this box!

Hi Gaby!! Thank u so much for the kind words!! Last year was the first time I decorated my Xmas tree with a Harry Potter theme and, I used a few HP keychains as ornaments. Great minds think alike, Gaby! :)

I’m so glad they chose you as a rep for their box, because your excitement over the items is so fun to see! It was great that they stuck to the book and used the correct colors and Eagle. The pins are going to be ones everyone is going to want! They are amazing 😍 And even the Prefect one looks nicer than the one from the parks 😄

MellyMel, that is a poster, not a book cover. Your exuberance is SOOOO refreshing, because I felt the same way about my Gryffindor box. People are getting so jaded about these boxes. These boxes are top notch. I have two ties, but the quality of these ties in these boxes still got me excited. I wish I had the room to make my own common room to display these riches!

@@GeekingoutwithMellyMel I have seen only one Gryffindor box so far, one Hufflepuff and three Slytherins. You will find the Gryffindor potion most funny. The wax is uniquely phallic.

I am a Slytherin and I loved my box too! My favorite item was the keychain and tie. I didn't have a tie and wanted one too. This was a great box with so many good items! I will definitely be wearing my tie next time I get to go to Universal Studios Florida. Have a great day M!

The boxes are very different! They each have the personality of their house. I object to the Slytherin tapestry being a (dusgusting) unicorn hunt, but I'm impressed with most of the items. There are many I want to buy- hope they make them available

Great video! I think the ring could double for like a signet ring to use to seal an envelope wax seal. I got mine in gryffindor and LOVE it. I am so happy with this box!

I really don't understand this whole fake fan nonsense. You don't have to know every detail to be fan. I've been reading the HP books over and over since 3rd grade byt have memory problems. Doesn't make me any less of a fan.

Hi Sara! "Fake fan" is more of joke that my friends started because of exactly what you said. Not knowing every single detail about a fandom or show, doesn't make us any lesser fans. Same as book fans and movie fans, we are all fans, no one less than the other. So "fake fan" is more of a joke when we don't remember a certain detail. There's even the "fake fan society" because to us, it doesn't matter how much we remember about a fandom, we are still fans no matter what anyone else thinks, thats why we even say "fake fan" with pride, if that makes sense. :)

It might be just a me thing, but i dont get the appeal of knock of Harry Potter things.....

Hi Long! I think I understand where u r coming from. I’m an avid pin collector and, when I first started collecting pins, I felt a similar way about fantasy pins (fan made not official pins). I used to see them as a waste of money but, as I got more exposed to them, I saw their beauty and value. In my personal experience, fan made items are made with love and with the desire to bring certain things to life that we haven’t gotten from official merch. There’s a huge fan base for unofficial items because of that :) For example, with this box, I was able to get a Ravenclaw tie in the original colors and a decal with the original mascot as well. I haven’t seen any licensed potions yet either. Because of those things, I discovered a love for fan-made items. Hope that makes sense lol. Have a nice weekend! :)
