I read that Stephanie Meyer said the pomegranate has to do with the mythology of Hades and Persephone. In addition to that, a pomegranate is "an apple with many seeds" so it mirrors Twilight in that way AND it's cut open to signify we are seeing into Edward's thoughts. I agree though, it's awful to look at. And I wish I had known about this box. Even though I'm a subscriber, I didn't get an email about it. Maybe I should just check their website more frequently.

Supposedly I heard the cover of midnight sun of the destroyed pomegranate is supposed to symbolize how Edward is the forbidden fruit and a vampire and a human falling in love is obviously a forbidden type of romance so I thought that was very interesting to help make sense of the midnight sun cover👍
