Hi there! I’m also from Phoenix and I too am super pale. I’m so clumsy and unathletic that my PE coach let me skip out on playing volleyball in 8th grade to prevent me from injuring more people than I already had. To my defense, I warned everyone that it was probably best that I not be allowed to play! 😂

Midnight Sun actually came out very recently, in the last 2 years I believe, that's why there wasn't a movie for it, It is basically Twilight again but from Edwards Point of view. The Short Second life of Bree Tanner is about one of the vampires that Riley turns for his army in Eclipse, she only has a short role in the movie x

Twilight is what got me into reading, so this video is what I looked forward to all day. I was obsessed with twilight when the movies were coming out but I got reobsessed when Midnight Sun came out two years ago! Love it ❤️

after you read all of these, I would highly recommend Life and Death, Twilight reimagined - it's a refreshing look into the story everyone knows by now!

I love Ashley Green’s podcast too! Seeing this makes me want to re-read the books. I read them as the movies came out between 2007-2009 when I was a teenager and completely obsessed. You’ve made me want to give them another go!

Guess who’s now going to click her way to Amazon? I saw all the movies and read the books, except the last 2 you have. I’m a little older (50 this year) but I loved this saga when it came out. I have to say even though I did enjoy the movies, I found I got a lot more out of the books.

I'm currently rereading the twilight saga. Oh Jen you are going to enjoy these. The movies does not do the books justice. I often wish I could read certain books for the first time again 😅 enjoy Jen. 🌸

I had a massive headache yesterday and fell asleep to this video. Thank you 💜 Twilight always brings me such comforting nostalgia. I never knew about this box set, it's very beautiful! The Midnight Sun cover looks especially gorgeous. I was 13 when the first Twilight film came out, I was obsessed as almost every young person was at the time haha. I even read the first three books even though I never used to read at that age!

My first comment ever on an ASMRtist! Love you what you do, listen to you almost daily. I was so excited to see you realize what Midnight Sun was about! It came so much later than the other books because an early draft was leaked onto the internet many years ago when she was initially working on it so Stephanie basically vowed to never finish and release it, I'm sure it felt like such a violation. I was thrilled she took the time to hopefully heal from it and finish it for her fans. I will say it's a bit longer than I think is necessary, a bit repetitive and drawn out at times, but I so enjoyed experiencing the journey all over again through Edward's eyes.

Oh I think I see what you're saying. I've heard some of "Twilight" from an audio book and I've like the first few chapters even though the um plot (the 'human and a vampire are in a romantic relationship, let me tell you how it goes) hasn't picked up yet but her descriptions of the mundane and the back and forth from bella's thoughts to the dialogue as it happens seem like they would be very enjoyable to read and get lost in. However, I've now come upon the part where we're on the precipice of a deep dive into the crazy, which for a supernatural book is perfectly tolerable it's just...yeaaah, some elements don't flow as well for me.

Wow the book collection came out beautiful! I read the first four books in high school and even though the movies get a bad rap, it will always have a place in my heart as i remember how obsessed i was with the books. I never read the Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, I did start reading Midnight Sun a few months ago on and off, i get so distracted with social media easily and it pushes me away from reading… this has inspired me to start up reading again ❤️

Such a throwback! I was 10 when the first Twilight movie came out and I was obsessed with it!! I was also a huge reader as a kid so I immediately started reading the series after seeing the film. I loved the first book but I thought each subsequent book got weaker and weaker. At 10 years old, I found the story too convoluted and gave up on it somewhere in the fourth book. I lost interest in the films as I got older as well so I never picked the books back up. You’ll have to let us know if you enjoy the books because I’m sure it’s a much different experience reading them as an adult.

@@melissasaint3283 I was definitely aware that the writing of Bella was problematic because it was being discussed so much in mainstream media at the time. My mom also would read everything I did and we would have conversations about it. So, even though I was a kid and pretty ignorant to how romantic relationships work, I was still being taught that Bella and Edward weren’t characters to idealize or try to emulate haha. 😅

@@marspowr That's great! Was it difficult to balance "this is unhealthy" with the book presenting it as ideal when you were ten? Btw, good on your Mom...I think too few kids have an adult who will co-read their books with them...even the parents who want to rarely have time! Was it helpful?

@@melissasaint3283 Having now worked at a lot of elementary schools, I think 10 year olds are a lot smarter than most adults give them credit for. Even though I loved the books/movies and romanticized the relationships a bit, I think I always understood that those dynamics were only acceptable in fiction, and that they wouldn’t be okay in real life. I never liked Bella as a character or thought of her as someone to emulate. Even as a little kid I thought she was lame haha. I also seem to recall taking issue with Edward dating a teenager when he was technically over 100. 😂 As for my mom reading alongside me- I loved it! It’s always fun to have someone to talk books with. She’s the reason I learned to love reading so much anyways since she would read chapter books to me every night until I was old enough to take turns reading with her. It’s something I definitely plan to continue with my own kids. I only started getting annoyed with her when I got into my teens and didn’t want her knowing all the romance books I was reading. 😂

I love this so much! I love Twilight too, i've rewatched the movies too many times to count

Same here. I go a year or so, & start jonesing for the characters. Then I have to dig out my DVDs & have a Twilight marathon.🥰

I was also in my early 20s when these came out. I loved the books and was iffy about the movies. Lol definitely preferred the books ♡

I read the series years ago but I just saw these on tiktok and had to buy them before they blew up, I didn’t know there was a white collection too. They’re gorgeous. I’ve read them all more than once but the Bree tanner story. I’m currently re reading from new moon on, after finishing midnight sun. I’m going to read Bree’s story after new moon, so I know her story before she appears in the series. Also I would suggest reading midnight sun later after finishing Bella’s story, to see how Edward was in the beginning.

Midnight sun is just twilight in edwards perspective. The short life of bree tanner is a novella with the girl who gets killed in the second movie that was one of the people who got changes to be in victoria's new born army.

The reading was top tier

Just in case anyone is interested a few book tubers are doing a read along of twilight.

I really love twilight, despite it flaws. Like the whole story always has interested me, so it clear i don't really read. Only audiobooks for me really.

This set seems like a response to the Crush series by Tracy Wolfe, the first book is a bit of a twilight rip off but the series grows into its own over the sequels. I recommend it for any twilight fans.

The books in my opinion are WAY better, I think you'll enjoy 🙂

I love both the books and the films, but having just finished Midnight Sun I will say the books edge out the films jusssst a bit because they hold so many cuter details!!!
